I agree with everything you have said there Sal. These knocks and niggles are part of the sacrifice and it's why we have a squad. Hopefully CHO and Wood aren't far off.
That was one of the most horrible games I've watched in ages.
Did anyone else in the ground get the feeling there was different people about because we were playing United? I don't like it.
Great win. Point against Villa would be massive.

I think there was quite a lot of United fans around the ground. Quite a lot leaving early too. It was a strange one for sure.
If thats the case, how did they manage to get tickets when Forest fans cant?

So yes United had a lot of possession but I am trying to remember Sels having to make any saves but I can't. Sels actually had a very comfortable evening.
What you do without the ball is massively under rated and we are absolutely superb at mastering that art.
United got what they deserved (nothing) and we got the 3 points that we deserved.

Tired legs indeed, they had a step on us all over the pitch ( bar Elanga obviously ) and the ref was giving us nothing but it didnt matter in the end as belief and desire got us over the line. Fantastic effort probably the hardest yards this season.

Bruno had 2 decent efforts either side of Elanga’s goal. They were very wasteful up front but thought we allowed more chances than we normally do.
Im not criticising because as you say what we do off the ball is usually what we do best, its what that little twerp Hurzeler and others dont seem to appreciate that it’s possible to be in control of a match without having the ball. However we didn’t seem to do that last night, a huge reason for that was definitely having to play for over 2 hours just 3 days ago.

One comfortable save from a long-range Fernandes shot. Other than that the only other real effort on target I can remember was the Maguire shot at the end.
Correct SR.
Conclusion:
Having control of ball possession doesn't mean that you have control of the game.
We don't need the ball to win football matches.

It was similar to the Man City match in that respect. Yeah they controlled possession. They hit the woodwork. They went close with a chance (the Mount one) after a poor Forest clearance. But Sels didn't have to be as good as he was against Liverpool.

I thought we were more comfortable against Citeh. UTD were very wasteful and Neco had a great game. We looked totally knackered though.
UTD look devoid of confidence which helps. I think Sangare and Sosa (who looked good last night) against villa with hopefully CHO back will freshen things up a bit. The only midfield player who didnt look exhausted was our Ryan. Boy that lad has a motor on him.
Thought it was more tense than it should have been. Watching in Croatia and the commentary didn’t help. I thought it was a slog and I didn’t enjoy it other than Elanga’s very fine goal and the result.
Chicago: Breathing a sigh of relief.
