I'm not too down about this. We've had a go and things could've been a lot different if Wood had bagged that chance. I'd rather go down fighting than trying to cling on in desperation for a point.

Disappointed we let them get a 2 goal lead so easily.

Although there was a massive opportunity for us tonight to be honest think this is about the level we are at. We have rolled over some teams at the bottom, sneaked a couple of more impressive results but are now getting smacked around by the big boys. All says somewhere mid table to me.

There was a rumour today that Newcastle will accept offers for Harvey Barnes. Cant believe thats true but if there was a swap available then yes please. They couldn’t be that daft though.

Yes - this had a different feel to low block defeats to them previously- we had some very good chances - MGW, Wood, Elanga all had decent opportunities earlier in the game that on another day puts the shits up them. Some important minutes at 3-0.

Would love to see a midfield of danillo Anderson and MGW too. A bit dissapointed we didn’t replicate the 451 we had v Liverpool.

Games that included Arsenal, Man City and Newcastle - albeit the latter are a bit up and down.

This always looked to be a difficult run of games and so it has proved but we won the one we 'should' have.

It's still been a really good start to the season and I'm certainly not going to be negative about losing to a team who've been arguably the best in the world in recent years after having given a decent account of ourselves.

If we beat Liverpool and nearly beat Chelsea. Then we should be at least trying for a draw against them 3. or at least low scoring defeats. We have gone soft in big games.. as they say. Onto the next

When they don't and it results in a counter like that, they're very frustrating

That's the problem at times. As much as i love Morgan. Sometimes a simple pass is better than trying to take 3 people on and lose it

I would say we played better against them than previous attempts. I'm not entirely sure we didn't go with the same approach as against Liverpool and Chelsea though.

Still, like you said, not going to get too worked up about losing away at Man City.

The difference between tonight and the Liverpool and Chelsea matches was the early goal. We didn't have to chase the game against the other two. If Wood scores then we probably go back to the more pragmatic approach and they get twitchy with not being ahead. Of course it didn't pan out like that but it easily could have.

We've *got* to not concede early against Man U. Watching the end of their match tonight they're no great shakes. Keep it tight against them for a while and their fans will start grumbling - new manager or not.
