Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit
My thinking why it’s taking so long for Sabri to go is that the owners know the Qatar club is interested in Sabri so they don’t want to sack him to pay him off 2 years for him to then walk straight into that job. So either have to come to mutual termination or waiting for him to resign.

He’s already gone apparantly

Chris Wilder lost 7 consecutive games.

Has he?

I think it’s all speculation and folk saying it early so they can be classed as ITK

As of yet no announcement, so reckon negotiations are still going on best way to part (without us having to pay up his contract)

It doesn’t work like that. Basically if he is sacked forest only have to honour his contract until he gains employment again. Also there will be break clauses these days on both sides...

Pure speculation SR, if you ask me.

As Sniffer said last night, the only ones that know what is going on are those within EM's four walls.

A story saying he was keeping his job would be surprising. One stating the obvious isn’t.

Here's the article...(apologies if I've missed anything cutting & pasting it):

Sabri Lamouchi set to leave Nottingham Forest this week after poor start to new season

EXCLUSIVE: The Reds' Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis has been left shocked by the poor start to the campaign and a parting of the ways is now very close

Sabri Lamouchi is on the brink at Nottingham Forest and set to leave this week.

The Reds' Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis is dismayed at the club's start to the new campaign after four straight League losses.

He resisted the temptation to fire Lamouchi at the end of last season when the club's form deserted them to miss out on the play-offs on goal-difference.

But a parting is now very close after Marinakis warned the squad in a Zoom session before the season kicked-off that he expected better.

Lamouchi has been backed this term with 13 new players after the side finished last season with three points from their final six games.

This included a final day 4–1 loss at home to Stoke to miss out on the top six on goal difference.

But the former French international midfielder is unlikely to be in charge much longer with a change on the cards this international break.

He may even be offered an escape route at Al Duhail who are reported to have been in contact as the 48-year-old previously managed fellow Qatari side El Jaish from 2014-2017.

The deadline day signing of midfielder Cafu from Olympiacos, Marinakis' other club, made it 13 new players for 2020/21.

He joins Jack Colback, Tyler Blackett, Lyle Taylor, Luke Freeman, Harry Arter, Fouad Bachirou, Abdoulaye Diallo, Scott McKenna, Loic Mbe Soh, Miguel Angel Guerrero, Cyrus Christie and Nicholas Ioannou.

I just wish they would end the speculation and put us all out of our misery.

If he is to go then do it, if not then tell us.

As someone who doesn’t really study other teams and their managers/coaches I’m not in a position to say who I think it should be. I will say though I don’t see the point in building a team of (mostly) home grown players then appointing a foreign coach who has no experience of the league in this country, unless of course you are talking of the top top coaches who are realistically really not going to accept a position with us.

My heart does sink slightly when I hear we are in ‘discussions’ with one.

My lad has just sent me a text saying he is expected to leave later this week. I sent one back asking where did he get that info from  :D :D

If EM and co have decided to terminate Sabri's contract, what is the point in prolonging his tenure by a few days? Is he going to continue to train the players in his way, knowing they may be expected to completely change their style once a new guy is brought in? Of course not!

If a decision has been made, then one of two things will happen. Either he will go straight away or EM wont say anything until he has got a replacement sorted out, in which case nobody is none the wiser!!
