Agree...on both players...nd replace Gonclaves with someone better than what we have...if we really want promotion we cannot afford to keep players for experiments...i still think that we need a 'super' mudfielder that makes or breaks the team...a Keane type of player...a Hodge type of player a Scholes type of player...someone that scares off the opposition and allows our forwards to create ... and not end up with applauding players like Cash nd Lolley because they are defending our box !!! ..

I agree.  I'm still not sure we have the pivotal creative player in midfield.  

I'd argue we need a 'Geddy' to push him.  And a 'Tomlin' style player to push Car'.

As one is inconsistent (maybe he's running out of legs) and Car' goes missing in the big games.

I think that's why Aitor has loaded up on midfielders.  For 3 games a week, you get a lot of burn from the way Forest play and Forest seemed tired with certain players.  But they played that way to neutralise Leeds.

If we had the players to 'out pass' or out play Leeds we would have deployed them.  But Forest didn't.  But some may argue, perfect away performance.

Forest are a project.  And despite the 'catch up' building in the Summer (after 3 years of patchwork squads...) Forest are far from the finished article in terms of building.  Probably another handful of quality players from dominating the top 2.

But we're pretty close to it.

Forest hierarchy need to hold their nerve, keep their patience.

I've seen nothing in the top 6 above Forest to be frightened of.  Forest have outplayed or neutralised 3 of the teams that have been 'no.1' so far.

January?  If a top class D/CM and A/CM come up.  Take them.  If a top LB comes up?  take it to push Robinson.

If a powerful and pacey Winger comes up?  Take it.

If likewise comes up in the striking dept?

Take it!

It was bad in hindsight but most of us were still sucked in at that point. There is another forum as we all know, it had a poll some time that November with O’Driscoll still in charge. We were mid table but the majority opinion was that he needed to go, not good enough for this brave new era, sound familiar?
