Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa

Thought it was a fantastic performance overall. As dull as it was we contained Villa aside from one chance and created a few chances. Then we stood up despite conceding and the long offside decision.

Where is the ceiling this season?! We just beat Man Utd and Villa back to back! We've still got the January window to come too, there's room for improvement still.

Think unai emery has a bit of a soft spot for us. Said we deserved it, didn't moan about the penalty decision etc etc

That was a brilliant football match. First half I thought Nuno and Emery tactically cancelled each other out. 2nd Half how did Martinez save that. Then a goal out of nowhere from them. Then the Disallowed goal sparked something within us. That’s our latest winner since the return.
4th is crazy good

86.14 the latest we have ever been behind and won a PL match.
The first time since our return we have scored in added time to win a game.

Tactics spot on for me. Contained, played tight, adapted and changed it up when we went behind.

Well done Emery for not moaning, class act. For what its worth in real time behind the goal I genuinely didn’t think penalty for Rogers. Not watched it back but heard even Steve Hodge saying it was nailed on. I am sticking to my guns nothing in it. I was however convinced the winner would be reviewed for a foul on Cash!

Anyway magnificent result, onwards and upwards.

Rogers fouled Anderson first but then it was a clear foul. So depends if you care about the first foul or not.

Offside looked pretty contentious too, seemed like a guess really.

The foul on cash is one of those that always looks soft but often get given in that area. Think it would've been harsh.

Fantastic performance.

Great result. Great spirit shown.

But that first half foul on Rogers... it was a foul and we would be screaming foul if that was on a forest player.

Whether the foul statmrted outside the area is the only issue of contention.

Anyhow... what a win. Great team performance and a never say die attitude.

Next two games against two very attacking teams but defensively suspect. Will this play into our advantage

Seen it now, OK they probably should have had a pen! But the VAR offside was f*****g ridiculous. System is a joke, play stopped for 4 minutes with nobody in the ground having a clue what was going on. This kind of farce cant be allowed to continue.

But back to positives, what a performance, we looked the better side against a Champions League team. And that wasn’t a fluke result, you can’t fluke being 4th after 16 games, fantastic stuff!
