I don't think hooking CHO and MGW was necessary so early.

I do think the focus on forest this last week has raised expectations - all this gushing of praise is the media typically building up a side will beyond what is sensible. In some way, this might help reset us and ground us a bit.

Result 1-3, not our day 2nd half, the win run ends, but still sitting 3rd for a little longer.
Now to endure the international break.

Newcastle much better then us from the 1st kick and on the front foot, so many players for us not turning up today. Passing was very poor and we need to up our game if we want to finish in the top half of the table!

We were always gone lose again, perhaps best it was now before the break, wish it had only been 1-2 let’s hope the lads can learn from it

We played into their hands after scoring and didn’t create anything. Thought Morgan and Hudson-Odoi were sloppy in possession. Both Yates and Dan Burn could have been sent off and Wood gets nothing from referees when he is repeatedly fouled

Watching us 1-0 believing the hype. Think that's a humbling we needed

Sometimes you just get beat by the better team. To be third at this stage of the season is a great achievement

It was going to happen at some point. We'll win some and we'll lose some so we just dust ourselves down and start again.

Just one of those days. Newcastle best performance of the season coincided with our worst.

That said, if Dominguez chance had gone in to make it 2-0, then it may have been interesting.

Well beaten. Roll up our sleeves and go  again.....

Best team won and to be honest Newcastle looked good. Thought we got tactics wrong a bit, overrun in midfield, they attacked far better down the wings and a few of ours had an off day.
Glad to see nobody is whining and blaming the ref, he got a few things wrong for sure but that’s not why we lost.
As has been said might do us a bit of good to come down to earth, 2 weeks to reset, we are still in an unbelievable position.

I was starting to believe the hype and a 3-1 win would have been a real call and awakening. 1-3 loss brings us back to reality and 10th place would be really good.
