We really have to dig deep and drag at least a point from this, SC has somehow got to pull the rabbit out of the hat.
I feel for him, he must be mentally exhausted. I don’t think EM will give him much longer. I really hope he can turn things around starting tonight.
I agree. He looks exhausted and downtrodden. I’m sure this is not what he thought managing in the Premier League would be like. I think EM’s patience is running thin, but so must Cooper’s. We had no right to get promoted last year, it was a real football miracle. All credit to Cooper and the squad we had, but the reality of the premier league is hitting hard currently.

Ive actually woken up today in fairly positive mood for tonight. Maybe its because we havent had the usual long week between games to stew on the last result? Dunno.
Or maybe this is the normal premier league matchday routine acting out. Early day optimism followed by frustration at the teamsheet followed by anger at the performance followed by the sky falling in on the season.

How would that work?
Spence, Garner, Davies, Zinc etc wouldn't have been free and you can't have a load of loans in the PL like you can in the Championship.
Plus we would still have to have added more squad depth so the 150M (isn't it more like 120M?) would still have been spent.
The point I was trying to make (but accept done poorly) is currently the amount we have spent has not benefited us.. having last year's team or even fringe players (cafu, laryea etc...) We wouldn't be any worse off positionally.
The losses are obviously disappointing but for me the performances are just as bad. The team generally look awful in and out of possession and they've got worse since Bournemouth halftime.
Any ways I'll have my fingers crossed for a better performance and result tonight.

I think we need to try a midfield 3 that will look after the ball when we have it. Brighton are very good on the ball and will press and close us down all game.
I would go with
Henderson
Williams/Aurier if fit
Worrall
McKenna
Toffolo
Mangala
O Brien
Freuler
Dennis
Awoniyi

This would be my team. I think the three of Mangala, O'Brien and Freuler is blindingly obvious. I'm not sure why Cooper is so reluctant to play it. Also, get Dennis on the right, it's his best position.

Mist/Trent End, looks like a team that most would pick but will SC ? I think it gives us a chance using "footballers" not hoof merchants

Maybe SC wants either his club captain or vice captain in the side. Since Worrall has been dropped, Yates has started every match. Can't just be a coincidence can it?
