History. Both the youth teams of Hart and Warburton sank like stones.
It's romantic. There's no probably about it.
The players you mentioned. They're on loan because they're not prime time ready. They're not going to help in a relegation scrap.
It's up to recruitment to fix the current goal drought. That means temporary or permanent 2-3 players in bound.

And where are the goals coming from..?
As a 2nd eleven for the most part...I'd go 'ok' for an aspiring top 8 side. If the 1st 11 had experienced and quality pros.
SA.
And where are the goals coming from at the minute Grabbs 2 in 26 Knockaert freeman cafu ? Sorry but you make no valid points, how about the energetic midfielders that are tracking back where are tgey in our current side ? Christie don’t get me started, if Gabriel , johno and Mcguane were not allready our players we would probably be scouting them what makes you think we would get battered every week ?
You make no valid points in addressing the goal drought.
Don't ask me. Ask recruitment.
Forest's post code is ez to find.

If that’s what I wanted to see I’d go and watch the academy games rather than buying a season ticket.
All logic says you are correct Sabri but the reason people are wanting to see a team of kids is frustration with the current team. The turnover of the squad and lack of success means we just arent identifying with our players, we are watching what we perceive as a bunch of overpaid strangers who are under performing. It probably isnt helping that we arent seeing them in the flesh and I think some perceive a lack of effort although I think again thats frustration rather than fact.
Therefore the natural reaction is lets play our kids instead, brought up with the club, buy into our identity and we think they will try harder even though the truth is the teams listed above would probably get battered. It doesnt make sense when you look at it with a calm head but at 5pm on Saturday I genuinely thought the same.
It doesn’t appeal to me. I understand a retreat into a fantasy rather than having to deal with watching a poor performance, against a better team, but people have short memories. We’d only lost 1 in 8 in the league before Saturday. Throwing in more inexperienced kids is a good way of ensuring we go down rather than continuing to slowly climb away and up the table.
I agree with all of that mate and have said we will stay up if we keep on as we are although it may not be too pretty at times. The problem is NFFC are very hard to like right now which I think is enhanced by not being there to see it. Most of us would accept winning ugly and getting results which is what CH is starting to do, Millwall apart those 8 games have been a tough watch though. Some would also accept a younger team playing attacking battling football even if the results werent coming but I agree with you if we did that now we would end up in L1. What we wont accept is an expensive team of misfits that is underperforming and not getting results hence the anger on here at times.
Yes it’s the worst of both worlds. But we know Hughton builds from the back, and we know given time he gets the other end of the pitch right too. His Brighton team scored plenty on their way to promotion.

We need a really really good manager to get a tune out of this squad
If Rotherham and Sheff Wed pick up points tonight they only need 2 points from there respective 2 or 3 games in hand to put us into the bottom 3
We can pretend all we like we are on a good run and turning things around but the truth could be we are a very damaged squad
To fully harmonise with this thread we need a transfer policy that is urgent and can sign some seriously good players very very quickly, 26 games in says we are as things stand in serious jeopardy of going down
If ever there was a time to panic buy it is now, lets cut out the c**p and face it we need to get some good players in very quickly

I am amused and disappointed, but not surprised to see Forest are being strongly linked with players like 37-year-old Glenn Murray and 31-year-old to be (in February) Dan Gosling (who is also injury prone). What will they add to Forest, just another two old players on last contracts?
That is not building the club for the future, it is only going to impact us more on FFP as neither are investments (no sell on value) and will probably mean selling off more of our younger players to pay for the bad recruitment mistakes the club are continually making.
To rub salt in the wounds to say, Bournemouth will let Gosling leave, so they can bring in Ben Pearson from Preston is simply crazy as all we are doing is helping another team offload their deadwood, so they can bring in a better player, that can’t be right.
We should be going for Ben Pearson ourselves if we ever want to be fighting for Promotion.
How will older Players like that help Forest when they can’t even get into the Watford of Bournemouth sides this year?
If these are players Chris Hughton is demanding, then perhaps he isn’t the right manager for Nottingham Forest, he certainly isn’t getting the best out of the players he currently has.
What is the Clubs Transfer Strategy?
There doesn’t seem to have one, therefore is it any wonder we are heading to League One. We need ambition and passion from the owners, we need to actually hear from there (all we get is silence) and we need to be excited about the future and believe we are in good hands. At the moment that couldn’t be further from the truth. Signing more players at the very end of the career will not change supporters’ minds.
This could turn out to be another disastrous transfer window.

Knocker and Krono' signed. Fans wanted less signings.
These two are excellent signings.

Well for starters Bournemouth and Watford are better teams than us so thats why they can't get into those sides.
Secondly, this is all wild speculation and you're making a number of pretty big assumptions including that these are permanent contracts and also that they are large contracts.
In the same way we've struggled to get rid of players other clubs will have the same issues. We won't just take on big contracts, if anything these are likely to be short term deals to allow the players a chance to earn a bigger deal from someone in the summer by playing more regularly.
We're not in for Pearson because both Bournemouth and Preston are better teams than us. Why would he choose to come here?
This feels like a continuation of the strategy from the summer to target players with specific championship experience which up until the summer was what most wanted.
Maybe judge at the end of the window rather than complaining because we're not trying to sign a rival's best player

How do you know we weren’t in for Pearson? Then he just laughed and told us I’m off to Bournemouth for 5x the wages you are offering me.
We are shopping in a completely different market to the parachute clubs.
If Murray keeps us up he will be worth every penny.

Common sense. Agreed.

Dan has played 15+ games for Bournemouth this season and even scored a couple of goals so he has definitely been in and around the team so maybe smart to do a quick search before posting
We have signed Mbe Soh (19 years), McKenna (23), Blackett (26), Iannou (24) and loaned Christie (27), Cafu (27), Knockaert (28), Freeman (28) and Krovinovic (25) and then we have brought in 4 players that were 30 years (Colback, Arter, Taylor and Guerrero). Looks pretty balanced to me and on paper good quality as well.
