#NFFC recruitment has been so much better since the change of direction at the top of the club.

Grabban is a blow - medics think six weeks - and club tried hard to get Josh Bowler at Blackpool. Overall window, though, has been a good one.

I was thinking probably around mid March, assume it is an ankle sprain. I make 6 weeks 12th March, which would mean missing 6 league games. 

On 12th March we have Reading at home, followed by QPR midweek at home then Fulham away before the internationals. Wouldn't be a bad time for Lewis to come in even if it's just half hour per game

Well.  It's not a total disaster and there is some 'ray of hope.'

That gives Davis, Surrey and yes, Larson, a chance to prove themselves.  We'll find out how good Cooper is.  Can he get Forest winning without the talismanic Grabban?  I wouldn't discount Cooper, he's a clever coach.

It would be pure poetry if Lewis is back to help Forest into the play offs and maybe to score the winner in the play offs?  A script to be written?

It's a cruel blow to Grabban who was well on course to get another 20 goals.  He's led the line well since Cooper arrived.  And I've come to see he's earned the Captain's armband with his professionalism.  Season highlight was Worrall picking him up and giving Grabban to double buttocks slap goal celebration.  Beat that.

Just seeing Grabban smile whilst playing and scoring goals and celebrating at the end of matches tells you alot about Cooper.

I think he'll want to stay provided that Cooper can him him reasonable assurance that he's going to get game time. If not then I think he'll go.

If we don’t get promoted getting Davis has got to be the top transfer target in the summer. He is not yet prolific but he has massively strengthened the team. Not only attacking threat but his capacity to keep hold of the ball allows the defence to regroup. He is also quick which effects how teams set up against us. I would like to him play alongside Sturridge and Brennan soon.

The 'report' is actually a quote from Colin Barrett who was talking on some webcast, and he suggested that if we do offer Grabban a new contract, it should be on reduced terms.

But he's on way above what our supposed wage cap now is plus he's a few years older now. He will have to sign on reduced terms if he wants to stay.

Why is it such a revelation that the guy needs to accept reduced terms? That's obvious isn't it?

When he signed this current contract he was at the peak of his career. Now he's at the back end of it. His priority will be the length of the contract, not wage. He'll want 2 years and the club will be offering just one I'd image. He'll have a scout around to see if anyone will offer him the two. He may get it, he may not.
