Seeing as Chris was pivotal in that side, which is the only one worthy of note, then yes he is worth the title of player of the decade. That is even before you factor in his commitment to the club. He will manage NFFC one day.
He wasn’t even the best player for us in that season never mind the decade.

Slim pickings. The contenders mentioned so far are about it!
Before injury Cohen was a very decent player, who almost went to Prem a couple of times.
Antonio, one impressive year for us. Has gone on to do well, but his improvement in the Prem I suspect has made some rate him as even better than he actually was for us. He was good, that's it.
Morgan, strangely, was under rated here by some as he wasn't perfect. His subsequent career has shown how good he is.
It's a shame Brit did his knee as he would probably have walked this poll and I suspect been part of a promotion team with Reidy (also crocked around same time). That Pearce side was probably the best balanced side we've had in 20 years, but was full of biscuits, who hit the top and then broke. Antonio didn't.

Again. Depends on what we mean by 'Best Player.' The thread didn't say 'most talented' player but maybe implies that. It certainly is slim pickings.
Player 'of' the decade. Cohen was the only one that stayed with us that long.
Antonio may well have been the 'most' talented. But he blew hot and cold as I remember. On his day? Unplayable beast in that raw, naked talent Collymore kind of way. The closest to his ilk since Stan left for the old enemy.
Morgan. I felt he was a good CH. No more. He often couldn't last the 90 mins and his concentration would go and he'd get caught ball watching. Or a little rascal of a striker would surprisingly get the better of the 'great oak'. He was solid 'enough.' He and Chambers did well enough together. He's another player, like Ant', that needed to move to challenge himself to get to the next level i.e. out of his comfort zone. And he won a Premier title. 400 games for Forest, couldn't grudge him his move, even to Leicester. Enough said.
Brit'. He was looking like the real deal before he did his knee in going for a ball he shouldn't have gone for. (Is it only Forest players who get the 'daft' injuries?) He, like Ant' wanted his move and got it. He scored well for us. He scored one of the goals that kept Forest up. We owe him a debt of thanks...as he probably went towards keeping Forest afloat during turbulent times.
But I can only think of Wes' being close enough to Cohen for being a true Forest player of the decade. He was like Cohen. Solid but unspectacular.
McKenna (was what Forest needed ten years before he arrived and have needed since and if only we'd had a player like that for 'ten' years. But we didn't.). Majewski (better than Car' and far cheaper and far more mercurial than Car', goals, passing, a tough little nut). Anderson (Came from Swansea...a good season with us then...?). Camp ('Came saves it' and then sulked his way to move, fell off the map and now he's got a club again). They didn't last very long at Forest. 'That' team and the manager and his players were flawed. Billy brought in those players to 'do a job'. Too old, too inconsistent, a team that was the sum of their parts. Only Earnshaw seemed 'next level' (and yes, his goals saved Forest from relegation in the Calderwood season in the Championship?) Forest didn't build on 'that team' of the decade. Too busy sacking managers.
Forest's history casts a dark shadow over these contenders. If I was being harsh, I may say 'pretenders.' Billy's Top 3 side being close but just lacked that bit of class in a couple of areas (did I mention Nickey Shorey at LB?)
In the mix of of the sheer darkness of the last 20 years, it's a player who broke himself...for the broken club.

It says Decade, though. And the thread doesn't highlight the attributes that define a player of the decade.
Most talented. (Antonio the 'Collymore' class on his day 'good' player? And, how can we forget Reid was pretty delicious during his latter return to Forest, he'd impose himself on games or journey man Geddy MK I who seemed multi-dimensional, saved Forest from relegation under Cottrerill) Games played? Goals scored? Most tackles? Most assists? Longest time at the club? Clean sheets. 'Looked good.' 'Fan favourite.' 'Best talent for a little while before moving on.' (As none of the Forest sides or players lasted that long as player turnover and manager turnover were prodigious.)
If the thread has said, 'Most talented player who, rescued from a mediocre career at Sheff' Wed', graced us with their presence for al little while, using us a stepping stone before sulking for 'big money' move...' It would be Antonio.

Player of next decade?
Joe Worrall who came in as a raw young lad, did a stint at Rangers, then helped Forest stabilise before captaining us to The Prem and Europe. Won a World Cup with England, scoring a header in extra time against France in the final. The English Maldini as he became known spurned big money offers as he took his home town club to the pinnacle of Europe once again.......

I think many who voted for Chrisy Cohen have looked at the bigger picture. More to a player than actually being on the pitch I suppose. Some of his performances at left back were outstanding. The way he battled back from 3 very very serious career threatening injuries was remarkable. He was our captain, our leader, others looked up to him for inspiration etc. I voted for Antonio but I am having a rethink. Perhaps I should have voted for Chrissy instead. I think he deserves it more when you look at the bigger picture.

Not the best player we had in the decade but always gave 100%, was at least a 7/10 wherever he played and would give his heart and soul to the club. The most Forest loving player we have had since Psycho. I hope he hones his coaching and managerial skills and one day takes charge of our beloved club.

Nothing against Cohen, but a player who spent most of his time on the treatment table winning player of the decade sums up our last ten years.
