Well the race for 2019-20 is already hotting up. The relegated teams amongst the favourites to go up as winners or promotion, Fulham 8/1, Huddersfield 12/1 and I expect Cardiff to be added in once their relegation is confirmed. You would expect that to be the case considering the squads and money they come down with. Stoke are a surprise contender at second favourites at 9/1 to be lifting the championship trophy. I am not sure their form deserves such a standing but I guess they have a high value squad.

However, where do we sit I hear you ask? Well we sit at 20/1 to be winners and 9/1 to be promoted. Compared to last year when we were 9/1 to win the league and 3/1 to be promoted at the start of the season. Therefore, if you are feeling optimistic it could be time to get your money on.

I’m sorry PSP but your continual digs at fans such as me who are a little bit apprehensive but have supported the club through thick and very thin over many years are really starting to grate on me. I love this club and hope to goodness MON works out. But to disrespect fans who have a different perspective to yourself in such an insulting way is downright insulting in my opinion, and I’m really sorry to say that to a fellow Forest fan

I'm optimistic. In fact the only problem we've had since MON arrived IMO is the style of football.

Results have been pretty much what's expected for a manager rushed into a job with few signings of his own; we're currently 10th which would be our highest finish in 6 years, and also our highest none-Billy finish since Hart; whilst some see Carva's exclusion as a bad thing, I think it shows we can still do OK without him should he get injured next year and aren't looking to have just 1 plan; and we've also some good academy lads returning who have had good seasons such as Worrall & Walker, who can not only form a real core of backup players, but also add to the Forest feeling at the club.

The style of football is the same as it was during Karanka's transition period.  Robust survival football.  The style you have to go through as you battle to imprint your beliefs on players who don't want to listen, to old to learn new tricks, too lazy, too young, too cocky, too stupid, too lightweight, too crap, too mediocre, too don't listen etc...or simply?  They don't have it.

We'll see who fits into the 'not in the future of our club' mold real soon.  Can't wait.

Yes.  Our highest finish in 6 years?  Golly.  £25 million bought us that.  'Catch up.'

But to progress, the squad is going to need pruning and investment spread amongst more players than it was last Summer.  Not only that, it needs to be players that fit the 'robust but can play a bit' mentality and physicality unique to the Championship.

I'm excited about how the squad is going to shape up under Martin.  He's EXACTLY the kind of manage you need in the Championship.  Complaints about the football?  Forest having been playing champagne football for the last 20 years.  Nor have many in the Championship.  Most of it is 'get by' football.

My opinion hasn’t changed since he was named manager. In fact I’m probably less so confident in him then I was then. 

There’s a lot of fans who are happy and optimistic about MON and fair play to them. I’m certainly not going to criticise someone for backing the manager, but equally someone shouldn’t be criticised for not backing them either. 

It’s all about opinions.
