Give it a rest it's embarrassing.

Think its a valid debate, there is no exaggeration, nobody is saying Glasner out, Marinakis out.
Just if we were billionaire owners of a football club what would we do differently because every one of us on here firmly believes we are experts and would win the league at a canter given the chance. Nowt wrong with that!

So could we do better? Forget Brighton that everyone bangs on about. I would prefer us to emulate Villa and their progress. OK possibly slightly bigger ground and Fanbase but not poles apart. They only stumbled on Emery mid season in 2022 after sacking Gerrard, fair to say its worked out better than expected but no reason we cant be similar with Glasner?

Villa were promoted in 2019 so 3 years ahead of us. Finishes as follows
17th
11th
14th
7th
4th
6th
4th

Only real relegation struggle was 1st season back, after that decent progress and a trophy. So I would say although we had one very good season yes we can do better and thats the example we should aspire too.

Indeed, so what we would have hoped for last season was perhaps a season in the top 10, like Wolves and Fulham achieved when they hit Europa for the first time - not long ago they were championship clubs. Kicking on like Villa would have been fantastic and perhaps may have been EM's plan, so calling it a bad season is fine, irrespective of where we were 5 years ago.

Which feeds into what i said earlier, think everything was going pretty well until last year when there was a change of approach which has now been reversed.

That is fine SM but Villa didn't spend 23 years in the Championship and neither were they bottom of the Championhip just 5 years ago.

Villa could be struggling at the bottom end of the table like we were/are had they not got lucky and appointed Emery. Gerrard before him was struggling with the same owners and set-up.

You could say that EM maybe sees Glasner as his Emery. I'm not so sure, we'll see.
