Not at half time but personally, if we were 0-0 at 70 minutes, I’d think most of the hard work had been done and I’d put an extra midfielder on in the hope we can get a point (whilst not inviting them onto us at the same time). I’d probably keep Brennan on and take Taiwo off.
The reason for this is he is more likely to be tired and Brennan can still chase balls in the channels to win fouls or throws so we can roll the dice on set pieces to try and nick a goal.
The flaw in the plan is when we take Taiwo off we have no one hold the ball up. It’s not perfect.

Which is why Ayew comes on. To be fair to the bloke he does hold the ball up but offers precious little else which is why the fans get on his back. He would probably get a lot more credit had we hung on for the draw in the games he has featured.

Saturday could be the last day we see Navas and Lodi at the City Ground.

And Brennan

Well it could apply to anyone but what I meant is that Navas and Lodi are on loan and it's our last home game.

Would think if we survive a chance Lodi stays. Not sure about Navas think they want Hendo if price is sensible.
If we survive and Brennan leaves it will only be for silly money.

Navas hasn't been amazing anyway, certainly not good enough to justify the obscene contract I imagine he'd need to get.

Hendo would be a good permanent signing if they can make it happen. If Everton go down there's a keeper there that would be an option, same with Leeds.

I really hope we get the fist pumping, next year too!

I like Henderson
He’s better than Navas and commands his area better.

Navas is a definite ‘no’ for me next year I’m afraid- he’s simply too small for this league and this is why teams cram the area on set pieces, which contributes to the current poor stats on this.

That said Hendo wasn’t perfect either- we quickly forget his kicking was shocking.
We need a keeper with Deano’s command but also footwork like Samba to be able to play our counter attacking game and also play out from the back with 3 CB’s as the keeper then effectively becomes an ‘extra’ outfield player.

Unfortunately I’m therefore hoping we can find someone who can do both and won’t expect £150k a week.

Yeah lets not forget that ridiculous run of games where we kept conceding from outside the area, definitely a few of those were on Henderson, Villa at home is one I remember.

He was very good in the box though! Also, good at saving penalties which is always a good skill to have.

I'd rather hope Lodi returns next season.
