Our Goalkeepers

My God Horvath's faults are getting more serious by the minute. What will it be next, you don't like the car he drives?

A bit OTT Sniff? It was just a light hearted observation.
If you want to talk goalkeepers with bad haircuts step forward Dave Beasant who is comfortably our best goalkeeper this century IMO.

100%

I love Samba, but Horvarth has been superb. Watched Sheff U recording and at no point did his distribution slow us down/cost us.

No basis for dropping Horvath.

Who do you think is the better keeper?

I think Samba is better, he has more of an understanding with defence and commands the box better.
Surely you have to play the best keeper, we only have a few games left, every point is going to be needed.

^ I’m with you OR. Samba has been an idiot for sure and not in just one game either. But cut out all the antics and I believe he is the better keeper, for what its worth I think he will start on Saturday.

We don't know who is the better keeper yet because Horvath needs more games so that a fair comparison can be made.

I agree with Camms, no basis for dropping Horvath and he should start on Saturday and I think he will.

Horvath's spot to lose at the moment imo.

Goalkeeper position should be your spot until you make a mistake. Simple as.

As I see it, Horvath is improving game on game so it's unfair to suggest that he's a better or worse keeper than Samba. The jury's out for me. Definitely looked uncomfortable with the ball at his feet in the first of his 4 games, but looks much more assured now in that department. IMO his handling has been excellent and he's demonstrated he can deal with stuff chucked into the box and some intimidation from set plays. I can see him finishing the season as no1. I feel for Samba, but with only one spot available in his position, this is the life of a keeper. Of course, it helps your career if you can resist punching people in the head.

Horvath with another clean sheet.

Its his shirt to lose now..........Samba will be on the bench until Horvath makes a mistake. Thats good man management from Cooper. Nobody has a go given right to start......you earn your shirt and if you keep playing well, you keep that shirt.
