I want him to just step away and look at the players he has and try something else as this whatever he is doing doesn't work. If he can't then he is not a good coach and needs to leave.

Who else are you expecting to play at left back or CM though? Cafu maybe the only option but he's not gonna have a large impact.

  I'm not expecting him to suddenly change everything but in stressed situations like this you will find the human response is 9 times out of 10 is to get to close to the situation and just keep things the same. He needs to just take a step back from it and not start with formation and put people in it but do a list of people and id what strengths weakness are there. Where is there opportunities and what risks come up.

Ok so we have no left back on the books so what if we didn’t have a left back what about playing 3 at the back? Figs is struggling and Yates in midfield is not passing well enough to open teams up. So could yates drop into a three and then he only needs side to side passes or into the midfield. So right there it might not be an answer but we are now opening to something new. Yates has pace and energy so another strength tactical is the defensive line can move higher up the pitch to condense play and apply high press. High fast press will rush other team to playing longer balls and we know we should be strong in the air. Also we have a defender who is able to step out of defence with the ball. Risk is Yates not really known as CB so will positioning be an issue? Who is made the leader of the back three. Communication between the three.

If for example we are going with this just putting ideas down stuff right now how about 4 across midfield. Risk of course teams play 3 central players and dominate the game from there but the opportunity is we can play 3 up top and we do have some great pace for balls in behind and players that can dribble the ball. Also three up top keeps the fb’s from the other team from attacking due to our counter attack.

That is all I’m asking for right now. Not we should do this that or the other but get out of the mindset of we must do it this way because I can’t afford to lose and it makes the other team struggle as long as they don’t change but if they do change I’m not going to change.

the best 'Out' scenario would be Gary Brazil, it's a crisis for sure, but regards bolstering and getting a tune out of what we have here, short term, GB is the best option, cup game soon as well, could try some interesting stuff.

That's what I was thinking last year re Sabri. Didnt want the change but could see that he was a broken manager and a wheel had come off the cart. We're not there yet with CH. There are mitigating circumstances.

I did think his speciality was defending and winning by the odd goal. I would have put up with dire football for those results but dire football and defeats by the odd goal was not in the plan.

I sort of need an idea of who is being lined up, if it's someone we like is this really a good time though the owners do seem far more patient.  If, in the next couple of days, we sell Wozza for £14m, buy 3 quality players totalling £8m and ffp worries gone this could widen the net considerably. Even i prefer a strange maverick visionary to the usual.

The only problem with his defending specialities Stef, is for that to happen, you need defensive players.

Our defensive line has been totally decimated by injuries and suspensions so far this season. Couple that with letting 3 left backs leave and not bringing in a replacement for them and we have a defensive crisis on our hands.

We just don’t have the players in my opinion. I have always defended our players with red tinted spectacles but can’t anymore.

Grabban - finished
Taylor - league 1 journeyman who had a purple patch due to being able to take pens
Figs- shocking and doesn’t even look like he wants to be here
Samba- labouring - slow and frustrating in possession - cost us points in all three games

Also the 4231 is so predictable and Johnson is not a 10 - needs to play wide forward IMO.

Can’t comment on last night but Bournemouth against 10 men the manager seemed stubborn and inflexible.

So to be clear you want him to play a formation with a bunch of players we either don't have or are injured, also acknowledging we don't have the players to play that system?

Forest fans don't ask for much do they  :D
