Will bump this thread seeing its becoming a possibility and so Sniffer doesnt get….errr….sniffy about it going in another thread.
Anyway my take on it is still be careful what you wish for. There has been an amount of trawling CH’s record at previous clubs and then holding that agains the perceived qualities of others. Here are some alternative takes on leading contenders
Eddie Howe
the Cherries' defence were lacking in confidence, positional awareness and an understanding who should be doing what. West Ham made them pay for an abundance of ball watching, space between defensive personnel and aimless pointing into those gaping chasms.
Chris Wilder
Last season's robustness has been in stark contrast to displays pockmarked by poor positioning or lapses in concentration, individual errors giving way to collective nerves.
Only Burnley have managed fewer goals and only Newcastle have taken fewer shots, and while that is little surprise for a side that has focused on quality over quantity under Wilder, the Blades have the biggest negative difference between expected goals (7.7) and goals scored (4) in the division so far.
Zinedine Zidane (well he is available, come on wheres your ambition?)
Los Blancos couldn’t step up when it mattered the most, and the players were beaten by a well-determined set of players. And Zinedine Zidane got tactically outcoached by Thomas Tuchel, as the Frenchman had no answer to the German coach’s tactics and perfect setup.
I get the frustration at CH but we have failed with so many different managers I simply do not belive changing is the silver bullet answer that some seem to think.

I think Chris Wilder benefited from being a 'club man' and the visionary tactics of Alan Knill- his assistant. Once teams worked out the overlapping CB and inside full back they had no plan B

Hello Salvatore!
I’ve seen people ask who should come next. I don’t know. The balance of probability says they come from abroad, as Sniff suggested earlier. I don’t watch foreign leagues other than taking in some of the top clubs’ matches, so I don’t have personal suggestions. And unfortunately I’m not the DoF or whoever so can’t spend my time tracking foreign coaches, but sounds like we now have people at the club who will.
Fwiw, I like the sorts of player we’re being linked with now, so if Hughton does get moved on, it gives me more confidence that we’ll make a good appointment.

We all want stability but we also don't want the season to be over, in terms of promotion, by October.
It's a difficult one to call. We all want CH to be successful but there are a growing number of fans who, after 43 games of the same, can't see it happening.
How long do you give him. Do we really want another season of avoiding relegation.
The owner also wants to see progress. When he took over we were fighting relegation. Last season after 4 years we were fighting relegation. Do you really think he is going accept another year (potentially) of fighting relegation. I don't. I honestly think if CH doesn't start getting results in the next 2 weeks he will be gone. Stability or not it is rests that matter and CHs record here speaks for its... he is not getting them.
I hope that dane has got a manager line up. Not because he has been asked to but so that if it does happen we have a go to quickly to reduce disruption. I don't know why but from everything dane has said so far I would happily trust his judgement on managers.

So based on the lack of suggestions we dont really know who we want instead but we are guessing that any alternative is better than what we currently have which is roughly how we have operated for the last 22 years.
We are of course trusting Dane to do the business and what he is paid highly for and unearth the correct person from somewhere. Maybe he can do that but the chances are he will be another Lamouchi type with zero experience of English football which brings its own risks.
Remember Lamouchi? He was the one that at the start everyone said he was a gem, his counter attacking style was masterful and we rewarded him with a new contract. Then we decided he was shit after all, got found out, tactically naive, no Plan B, lost the dressing room. I assume we will treat the new guy whoever he is pretty much the same.

If I was a betting man which I am not then at this moment in time I would put money on our next manager being a Serb
Anyway enough of that because we already have a manager

Whether it's now or in 10 years, whoever we employ I hope to never hear the term "no plan B" again.
A club like ours can barely back a manager to form a plan A, never mind give them a squad deep & versatile enough to have a plan B.

I guess hes out of work and has championship experience, know to play 4-3-3 attacking and his team was doing ok in championship last season when sacked ?
