But would Man Utd sell to Newcastle? I doubt they would want to be assisting them in any way. They might be a direct competitor this season.

He has categorically denied those rumours.

For anyone not aware, in 2019, Police claimed they had arrested a Premier League star 'tipped for international honours' on suspicion of domestic abuse. It then emerged on social media (who wouldve thought eh?) that it was Henderson.

If he says he is innocent, then we have to respect that fact! You are innocent until proven guilty! Nothing has been proven otherwise.

Similar to a comment I made the other day, which I was rightly pulled up for and which I duly deleted, the same should be done with bringing this matter up as well!

I don’t know what those were mate, I saw things being inferred but never any detail.

Why would it be deleted? I didn’t suggest or imply anything, just recalled the stories that were being reported and queried whether he had been cleared of them.

I reckon Henderson is pretty much the highest calibre of keeper we could have attracted at this point in time. Regardless of your feelings towards Samba, its an excellent signing. Every newly promoted team needs a decent keeper or they're shipping goals left right and centre. You'd say him behind our back 3 is a decent foundation from which to build.

Henderson is a higher calibre of player than I would've expected us to get!

Just got back from hols and catching up so forgive me if others have raised the point. I am sure that Cloughie started building his Championship winning team in 1977/8 season with a "pretty good" keeper. From memory it was a chap called Shilton. Also think we paid a big sized fee for a goalkeeper then (circa 300k)....just saying like....

If memory serves me correctly, didn't we pay £270k for Shilton, which was a world record for the highest fee ever paid for a goal keeper?
