Vitor Pereira - Our Manager
Fulham fans complain Silva is not good at changing things around mid-game. Something Vitor can do and does well.

With the same logic in mind Benfica could contact Vitor too.

We should stick with what we have got.

He inherited a very difficult situation and has navigated his way through it with class.

He has got the team spirit and the connection with the fans back, and, more importantly, he has had us playing some of the best football since we returned to this division.

His ability to makes changes mid game is also very impressive.

The only valid claim I can see for replacing him is the part he played in the fiasco at Wolves when their best players were sold and replaced with players who can be described as moderate at best - I would guess there were a group of other people involved in that decision making process.

He certainly will not get the chance to do that here.

I'd swap Vitor for Valverde or Iraola but Silva doesn't seem that big of a step up? I'm not sure our team is techincal enough to actually play his style, we're closer to the other two's physical counter attacking.

The thing with wolves is that the fans blame vitor personally for the players brought in last summer, not entirely sure how their model works and if the manager has sole decision and scouting of players. I’d like to think we’ve got layers to our recruitment that filters out players that don’t make the grade

Wolves fans seem to say he OKed the players who came in, not necessarily the same as who he wanted. Even then you would assume he was given a very limited budget and he chose those available at a pricepoint.
If it was down to him thats more concerning.

Portuguese press seem confident this morning that Silva is going to Benfica.

Would be surprised if he'd pick Benfica over Forest but I guess Champions League football wins out maybe?

Think its pretty obvious. Hes done a mid table Premier League club, we are another. We are over 100 miles from posh west London.

He would get to go back to his home country and manage the biggest club there and play in the CL. Its a no brainier if he has the opportunity.

Just looked they are actually 3rd and set to go into the EL rather than CL.

I think the situation with regards to ambition and quality of squad is quite different between Forest and Fulham, not sure I would see it as a no brainer.

However I can still understand if he wanted to do something different though and have a chance to win a European trophy.

Ornstein reporting that we want to keep Vitor and give him a new deal! Also mentions there is a desire to keep hold of all key players in the summer transfer market, as things stand. Maybe implies we can hang on to everyone apart from Anderson.

Whilst keeping the firefighting manager often doesn't work the following year, hard to argue that Vitor hasn't deserved it.
