Be more of an amicable parting of the ways.
I think that is what will happen.
I'm not so sure.
He seems to love it here and has the players respect, unlike other passing managers have had recently.
If he delivers what EM recruited him for, why would EM want to get rid, or persuade him to part company? Surely if we continue with our form going into next season, we should be mixing it up with the big 5 again (you cant include Spurs as a 'big 6 anymore' especially if they do go down).
If everything is still harmonious at the end of the season, it would be madness to bail surely?

Thursday was a shocker and has maybe raised alarm bells for some about Pereira.
But I think he has done a brilliant job. (Thursday was horrific but he had very little to work with - even though the team selection/tactics and eventual subs I think should have been better/smarter in retrospect. Just a shame about injuries and Villa playing so well.)
I think we see how we finish and see how everyone feels in a few weeks time.
When Nuno went, and then Ange, and then Dyche, I’d always wanted Silva. Thought he’d be just what we needed when each of those guys left. But thinking about it now, I’m not sure if I’d choose him over Pereira.
If the players are happy with him, behind the scenes is all sorted and we get the recruitment right this summer, I’d be more than happy with Pereria next season.

Hats off to him. He has got a tune out of the wider squad and managed some brilliant results and performances. The Villa match the only black spot and that came because of bad luck with injuries and Villas dubious squad rotation. I really hope Villa lose and Bournemouth pip them to 5th - with us playing our academy players for experience.

I've got to say i really like the way VP goes about his business. It was a close run thing today, but how he managed to get another 90 minutes out of our squad today was fantastic. He changed the formation when he needed to and the subs were spot on. James Perch said on the radio he has the qualities of Nuno but is tactically more astute. I agree.

Incredible job. 2 PPG over the last 8 games. Time for Vitor to have a few pints and relax over the next few days, regroup and finish strong. Let's go 10 unbeaten.

I think pre-season starts NOW.
Vitor can start experimenting next week against Manure......he knows what he needs, he knows our current players, he knows our strengths and weaknesses.
We should make it clear he is in charge next season and start work on next season now.
I really dont want a new manager coming in, who then has to spend what little time there is getting to know the players and building relationships from scratch........why try to fix something that is clearly not broken.
We are on a long undefeated run in the PL, the players are happy, the fans are happy........we must stop this fixation with new manager every time.

First Vitor needs to decide does he want to stay or not?
Lets not take if for granted that he does.
Could he be tempted by a move to a decent club in Portugal or Spain? Probably.
Then EM from his side will want to survey the situation. If someone better is available and willing to take the job then EM might be tempted and why shouldn't he be?
You should always try to improve on what you have got.
If Vitor says yes I want to stay and I am committed and EM thinks he can't find an upgrade who is willing to join then I and I am sure many others will be happy for Vitor to continue.
Lets see what happens.

Yes I am sure that is another thing that EM will do (sit down and have a chat with the senior players) to help decide on the next move.

For me it's a no brainer. On the basis that EM has given the players a veto on the manager why wouldn't he want VP to stay on? The players like VP, he's got them playing better, the peripheral players are better, and he's demonstrated that he's tactically astute. Everyone's a winner.
And the fans are on board too.

Benfica may target Marco Silva if - as expected - Mourinho returns to Real Madrid.
