Is Our Squad Stronger Or Weaker Than Last Season

So thoughts was the squad stronger or weaker.

Imo it was stronger but look where we ended up.

Weaker, considerably.

Keeper - Same
LB - Performance level dropped
RB - Big step down although Christie was good second half of the year in fairness. Cash way better defensively though.
CB - Improvement with McKenna although both him and Worrall missed a lot of games so net about the same.
CM - Clear decline from Silva and Watson, although Garner and Krov obviously brought thing back after Jan.
RW/LW - Decline due to Lolley injury, Knockaert was a disappointment after a decent start. Mighten at least started to offer something towards end of season.
Striker - Taylor a massive disappointment, Grabban took a huge step down and also missed large parts due to injury.

So clearly the squad was both weaker in terms of the loss of Cash/Watson/Silva not being replaced adequately and also within due to the decline of Grabban & Ribeiro in particular.

A coincidence that all but 1 of those teams were firmly in the bottom half? Suspect many of Watfords 34 were used at the start of the season when they struggled too. Just about every manager says they prefer a smaller tight squad.
