Double Header - Nottingham Forest - Leeds United

Yes, McAtee in the middle. It didn't make sense that after all the talk of him fulfilling that role as the best passer he would not start.

Also telling, no Bakwa or Hutchinson on the bench.
Unless Hutch is injured

It means good corners from the right hand side with JM on his left foot.

Looking at the teams I can not separate them. Going to be a tough watch.

Abbott keeps the record going for another week. Might not last the season if Yates doesn't get back soon

Have we sacrificed Hutch for keeping ‘the record’ going and including Abbott?
(Nowt against Abbott).

Hutch not played much all pre-season, I wonder if there's any chance Ipswich would take him back!

First 15 mins and very much what you would expect. Leeds are experienced in this formation and system and keeping ball better. A few silly misplaced passes from forest. Both teams trying to get a feeling for the game. Most of play in forest and middle thirds.

30 mins on and backline struggling to play the ball out for forest and our midfield can't find pockets to collect the ball. Forest have had the only meaningful chance however Leeds had the ball in the back of the net although offside.
Leeds have been the better side overall and pressing well to keep winning second balls.
Think forests aim is to get to halftime without conceding and regroup.

HT last 15 has seen a momentum change and forest have finally come into the game. Hit the post from a lovey cross and flick header. Forests press has been much better in the final moments of this half. Passing from back still an issue so gone a bit more direct

I never knew Leeds were so big as a team, crosses and throw ins into the ball causing real issues for us.
Can't call who wins this match. Hope for a better second half from forest.

2 very evenly matched teams, felt McAtee grew into the game but Sangare was horribly exposed for the Leeds 'goal'. Fortunately Wilson didn't leave it for DCL. lots of direct play, can see why Glasner likes a big man.

Ultimately a post away from being 1 up.

Mcatee corners/crossing is lovely, would be good if we good turn him into a usable CM
