We were told we needed 4 wingers so we signed 3 more. No wingers start.

We bought 6 forwards totalling £170m. None of them start. 4 worth around £120m aren’t in the squad.

Someone make it make sense.

Not Ange's players lol... who were they bought for then as Nuno didn't seem to want them...? (i think they are quality signing by the way)

I have no problem with the recruitment.

It is the way in which the players are being used (or not) that is bizzare.

100%. It's hard to justify- these are prudently investment-style players. I'm not sure many manager would turn them down.

Kalimuendo does seem superfluous

He’s had two neat finishes since he signed (both disallowed) and his stats last season were impressive.

The three I have issue with are:

McAtee - I’ve never seen anything of him to suggest he is good enough
Hutchinson - has played ok since he signed but can’t help but feel we overpaid for him
Bakwa - has been largely anonymous and akin to Antony when he signed for Man Utd so far

I don't have a problem with any of them. It's the fact we have them all.

Surely the imbalance between forwards and defenders is clear to all now?

We have 4 forwards worth £120m not even on the bench and the walking calamity of Morato at centre back.

If we are playing a 3 it should be Cunha, Milenkovic, Murillo

The point is, with Wood, Jesus, Awoniyi, there was no need for him, particularly as doesn't really fit the bill for that focal point.

As Salv says, fullback cover was the first priority. McAtee was MGW cover.

We always needed three and Taiwo was not expected to appear in a Forest shirt again after April plus T, Wood and Jesus are a similar mould. Kali offers something different and actually gives us the ability to play two up top should we choose.

100%...........Morato is a walking disaster area.

Its no coincidence since he came in we have been shipping goals.  Perhaps 10 of the goals we have let in our down to him.

And when T breaks down as he inevitably will do, and Woody pulls something as he’s Father Time, then we might appreciate 4 forwards in the squad.

I do agree we are obviously short on fullbacks.
I suspect we rolled the dice until we get Cuibano back in January (I think?) but got unlucky very quickly with Aina.
