My concerns are that West Ham are a relatively direct side and also they have fantastic setpiece delivery.

In our last game we had 2 CBs who are average in the air and a left back who reminds me of the kid at school who will do anything to avoid having to head it.

I would have been hoping for at least one of Boly/Felipe/Omobamidele but that seems unlikely now.

Their defence (despite last result) is actually quite decent for playing against a lower half side like us. Lots of experience and strength. They do lack pace though and that's one thing we do have if Elanga and Taiwo are fit.

3-2 either way anyone?

The Felipe thing is weird, he's been fit enough to be on the bench and play in the FA cup suggesting he's fit again. He was our best player second half of last year and we're weak defending set pieces, so why isn't he playing?

Talk about that Sels has a wrist injury and Turner playing tomorrow.
Hopefully not the case.

I would imagine he wasn't ready for Newcastle after Brizzle. He looked like he was struggling in last 10 minutes of extra time - after being totally dominant at both ends of the pitch up to that point.

He may not be one for the future, but he certainly us our best CB in the here and now-if fit- and that's what matters.

It’s normal for players returning from injury to only join in with the group on Thurs and Fri and to work with the physios in the gym on the beginning of the week

Agree with what most people have said, the West Ham threat comes from JWP delivery and the likes of Soucek and Zouma. I'd actually think about dropping Murillo for know-how, as outrageous as that may sound.

If Turner carries of from where he was at vs Arsenal in terms of coming and claiming the ball then that will also be a plus.

Why did it take our players 4 days to get on a plane?

I think the lack of effort in Sangare performances is a clue.

He needs to step up because he's been taking the piss since he's been here.

Absolutely, then its up to Nuno to get him firing on all cylinders or ship him out pretty sharpish. We can't afford to be carrying players with his price tag. It makes you wonder if he actually wanted to come here or was he forced out by his agent or PSV.

Aye, never convinced he wanted to be here, even as a stepping stone to his perceived big 6 ambitions.

To left back for this one for me. Probably won't happen. He has made rapid improvements in the air to be fair. But who marks likes of Zouma Coufal Soucek and Dawson at set pieces? Not to mention the little sod who nipped in and scored from a corner at their place!
