This lot seem to be the gift that just keeps giving. Love this thread, sometimes you get a fair and balanced opinion and sometimes, well, you get the Brentalona fans. Absolute gold.

I believe Brentford are appealing to the EFL to get the result overturned and to be awarded the 3 points on account of winning possession by 70% and the fact they played some lovely little neat passes in their own half.

There seems to some serious denial about losing in recent times.
0-1. It means you that you lost. Defeated. That you didn't play well enough. Not good enough to win. SA.

Birmingham City v Forest 1st February 2020
Pre Match Comments... A few Predictions to start.... 2-2 draw. We will totally outplay them with Pep's superior tactics but they will get lucky and snatch a draw near the end. In the tradition of Blues doing the opposite of what should happen, Blues win. God knows... 1-1 1-2 Forrest that w****r Llolly drab1alldraw After last weeks abject performance 1-3 to Forest. 1-2 to Forest. Juke to score for us. 1-0 win to blues Fancy us to win this then have an after the Lord Mayors show performance against Cov Blues 1 Robin Hood 1 Hulk Hogan breaks his duck for Blues 2nil forest Now we have signed Hogan, what team would you go with for Forest. What do you think Pep 'Bumba' Clotet will go with? I would go with: Camp Colin Dean JCS Pedersen Crowley Bellingham Gardner Bela Hogan Juke Subs: Trueman, Roberts, Sunjic, Davis, Maghoma, Montero, Giminez If Crowley is injured then I'd move Jude out wide and play Sunjic. Sunjic owes us some good performances, hopefully he gets back on form. If he's poor again he needs dropping for a run of games. Crazy Pep will go: Camp Colin Roberts Dean Pedersen Bellingham Sunjic Davis Bela Juke Giminez Subs: Trueman, JCS, Gardner, Davis, Maghoma, Montero, Hogan Crowley is expected to be out for 6-8 games Montero and Bela bombing down the wings.
I know they have always been a bit mental but Brum away is always a fun trip. Before everyone did it, they had great Balti Pies, they have great gallows humour and it was where I first discovered that staying safe at away games had nothing to do with the Police!!! (1988 to be exact).
Hope we have enough left in the tank after the gargantuan effort vs Brentford to nick 3 pts to back up midweek result.

Birmingham v Forest
Comments.... I am very pleased to see concannon on the bench, as I believe he has a real future in the game but very disappointed that sunjic is on the bench. There is something wrong there? When they done us 3-0 earlier in the season aswell as a footballing mismatch there was a physicality/athleticism mismatch. This looks more even, tbf it's the team I'd have picked with one exception. I hope they've done their homework on forest as they are much happier when you are taking the game to them and have struggled more against sides that sit deep. Even as the home side I hope we're more Rowett-like today as think it's our best hope. I can feel our biggest win of the season today. Come on u blues 0-1 here we go again caught on the break poor defending, God knows where Colin was but the guy had the freedom of our right side to run onto a ball into the box penalty to to them Camp saves another Pen. was never a pen Goal Hogan 1-1 Blimey, Campo penalty specialist. lost my stream, not that bovvered Hoggy, hoggy, hoggy. Wow-what a debut, looking very quick. What an unbelievable penalty given for nothing. vile 2 nil down as well. Come on you blues. dull are 5 nil down at home, I did say they have sold their best 2 players, watch em drop now. should of had a pen juke misses a good chance Grabban misses a sitter another missed chance for them dean off the line 2-1 pederson I hope he knows what he's doing! Hogan off fairymuff, but Roberts on in place? Invite them on for the last 7-8 minutes? great win Nice one Hoggy Nice one son Nice one Hoggy Let’s have another one! The best penalty we have conceded in a long while Great result. Shame Wigan managed to win at Leeds and making our result all the more important. wigan.they.got.more.lives.than.a.cat A very pleasing match and some very pleasing aspects as well. 1 Hoggy gave us a different dimension and considering he is not match fit, looks very promising. 2 peds head has not dropped played well as always. 3 defence look very good considering that they are 3rd and chasing top. 4 sunjic looked full of fight when he came on, so his head is in the right place. 5 The whole team looked up for it and pep has got them with him. 6 bela's cross set up the first again. 7 gg looked good 8 josh had a good game even set up their first with an unlucky deflection. 9 forest unbeaten for 7. 10 we are unbeaten for 6. 11 pep got the subs bang on. 12 both my kids are out of the hospital and on the mend from major surgery. Can you tell that I am dead chuffed with life at the moment! How the hell did we win that with ref so biased against us, awarded a pen for nothing denied us 2 cert pens and gave them everything and us nothing? Well done blues and well-done pep, credit where its due Great result, sed yest be just like blues 2 go and win this after yesterday . Lee Camp I love you :-) After all the stick I've given you I will happily eat humble pie and say you were excellent today. Fantastic penalty save. Did anyone see the full size cardboard cutout Lee Camp someone held up in the Paddocks? Hogan is really quick and works hard. A goal out of nothing. Looks a good signing. I was expecting nothing and am ecstatic with 3 points. I think Pep actually got the subs right today too. Scotty Hogan is a blue, is a blue, is a blue. Scotty Hogan is a blue. He hates Veela. Up until the penalty we were average and no real drive. From the penalty onwards it was a cracking performance and I get the feeling Pep has decided the best way to keep is job is replicate the same stance as the team last seson, aggression and over our dead body attitude. Bela is a find and a half, a winger that is happy to cross it with either foot, that is a nightmare for defenders. His delivery was crucial to that goal. Not seen the replay of the winner but I guess there was a foul and they just decided it would have been a penalty anyway? Huge win. Hogan very good. Played pretty bad until the pen but then absolutely changed it around and deserved win. Pedersen looked a little shaky, especially with the long balls but hopefully the goal boosts his confidence and he gets playing like we know he can. I think they were discussing offside, which it was but the handball played him on if it can? It was a lucky rickoshay that set up the forest goal but I felt we were coping with 3rd in the table very well early on and look at least as good as them. No mention from anyone about their goalie dropping the ball and jukey being pulled to the ground while shooting? and it was still cleared off the line Happy Hogan like a breath of fresh air. Ref hated us Linesman didn't know the rules Sunjic needs to get his act together. Camp for England Haha very good post tony

Forest v Leeds
Pre Match Comments.... Difficult too see if we'll get anything from forest, Brentford and Bristol city, one thing is for sure the Augustine and povenda must start...MOT!!! We're better than all three so 7 points would be a minimum for me, 8 games ago I'd have taken 4 points quite happily but we have to stop the slide real quick or it's an avalanche..We have to win v Forest or Brentford.. Forest ain't that great. I think we'll win at Forest, we are better away from ER. I'd love us to beat the Brentford/London hoodoo, really can't see us winning there though, I'd take a draw now I expect us to win everything. I'm probably insane. Depends which Leeds turns up. If it’s the one that played Wigan, QPR etc we’ll do well to get three points from the next three. If the ‘Wall second half Leeds suddenly rears its head I’d hope for 6/7. Brentford are very clinical though, I’m worried about that one. And of course it’s London!!! Thought it was Brentford next, glad Phillips will be back for that game, think we’ll cope without v forest. Expect 9 points from the next three games. We are better than every team in this league, we just have a striker who has lost it

Forest v Leeds 8-2-2020
Pre Match Comments.... Nottingham Forest v Leeds Utd Saturday 8th February 2020 17.30 | The City Ground Second placed Leeds travel down to the East Midlands for a tea time kick off against promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest. Four points and two places separate the teams, but more worryingly Leeds recent form over the last 8 games see the Whites tiltering just above the relegation zone in 19th place with Barnsley, whereas Forest top the form guide with 17 points over the last eight games. Will we see wholesale changes in the Leeds line up following the shambolic display against Wigan at the weekend? Will we see any changes at all? Augustin completed 45 minutes for the reserves on Monday, and by all accounts looked rusty. Surely, the only way of gaining match fitness is actually playing for the first team? Will he even be on the bench? What about Poveda? Should he be given an opportunity to show what he can do? Do Bamford and Casilla deserve to be in the starting line up If not, who would you start instead? Leeds legend Eddie Gray certainly believes that Augustin should make his debut on Saturday :- “I think definitely he’ll be used,” “Scoring goals has been a problem recently. “Patrick Bamford scored his couple against Millwall and you’re hoping he’s going to go on a run and score seven or eight. It never happened for him at the weekend. “But that’s why it’s always good to have someone there. He’s scored goals in decent leagues, so hopefully he can come in and be a great asset for the football club. “It will give everyone a lift, the fans, his teammates and that’s what you’re looking for.” Form guide doesn't interest me. Millwall were a form team and we beat them, Wigan weren't and they beat us. Forest play more to our strengths and I'm pretty confident we can beat them with our existing team. Bielsa has already gone on the record by saying Poveda is ready for action so I'd hope to see him on the bench. Big Kev, while I wouldn't say rusty per se as his quality of service wasn't what he could expect from the first team, did seem to have to remind himself to drop deep at times, and press. He does look keen though, so while I don't expect him on the bench this game it won't be far off. Till then we j7st have to hope Bamford has a good game. Kiko for me is the bigger worry. Since Cardiff his stats have plummeted wholesale (see the recent YEP article for particulars) and unlike Bamford we have a ready and proven replacement in Meslier. The flipside of that is the amount of pressure that will rest on the young man's shoulders and I doubt Bielsa will want to give him that sort of burden. Aside from that, not much else I can say. Let's smash 'em. Selection wise. Wondering if Roberts is fit enough to start. Pablo needs a rest imo. Bamford will and JKA will be on bench. If we have Dallas at CM again O don’t think I could bring my self to watch. Hope someone pushes Bielsa at the press conference about player rotation we have a busy month ahead. Just watching SKY doing analysis on both teams. Showed all Leeds missed chances against Wigan and highlighted our inability to score, then showed Forrest being ruthless in front of goal in their past few matches....I think I now fear for us in this game.....hope I'm wrong! I saw that to We are basically the total opposite of Forest. They like to play on the counter, we like to have the ball. They are very clinical, we are very wasteful. We are going to lose arent we? Just watched a Leeds training video. There was big Kev on a training bike but when it came to training footage on the pitch he was no where to be seen. Does this mean that he is still not considered up to speed for the first team? it would not surprise me if he is not on the bench once again. Possession is the name of the game. If you have 70% possession then the opposition have only 30% of the time to score. If you don't have the ball then you can't score... simples. You also have more than double the chances of scoring if you are able to take your chances. There was a recent video of the five best goals Leeds scored against Notts and all of the goals came from outside the 18 yard box... sometimes I think we try to walk the ball into the net... more shots from distance might be the solution to our goal drought. MB has just given a very long answer about when JKA will play. Its on PH's twitter. Long story short he isnt going to play vs Forest think thats obvious Sometimes i despair Onto the weekend - will playing away help in terms of expectations? There are no expectations, there are doubts. The supporting is not believing any more in our team. But we believe in our team. For this reason, now people are asking for anything, when one player is in the sea and he’s dying. Supporting is not believing in us anymore, but we believe more than ever in ourselves. We wish to always play at Elland Road because our supporters never damage our team. So for us, playing away is not a good thing for us. If you think playing is better away, then you think playing at home is uncomfortable and it’s not like that. If the supporters lost his faith in the team we have to recover the confidence that we lost. We have to recover the confidence that the supporter does not have now. We need the confidence of the supporter and if we don’t desereve it, we are trying to recover it. What we are not going to do is give up and not trust in ourselves. Because we deserve to keep the trust in our side. It doesn’t matter most of the matches that we’ve lost has meant people don’t trust more in our team, we are forced to analyse what we make of things. And take conclusions and see what we expect. No doubts about the job we are doing and we know the problems and which are the solutions that can resolve those problems. So, I prefer to take the responsibility fo the mistakes which puts the responsibility of those things to another. If I had said that Augustin has to play, no matter how, thinking that Augustin in this moment is not him that’s going to resolve this problem, what I do is not take responsibility in Augustin or in our club. Augustin will play when he is good condition to show what he can do. You can be in good condition but you have to be able to show it. What I cannot do is know that Augustin is not in good condition and allow him to play as that will harm him and the club. why the hell did we get him? very frustrating that we needed a striker and got (what looks like) a decent one, but he's not going to be able to play until easter because he's not played regularly for 8 months. That just doesn't make sense.
