Huge loss for them. With Mitro gone too thats a massive element of their entire approach gone.

They'll be stacked with cash but can they find decent replacements? Big ask that is imo.

How the hell that club manages to spend these kind of sums every window and stay within ffp baffles me.

I was wondering the same thing then on the broadcast last night they said that Everton was able to do the deal because they negotiated that the first installment won't be due until next fiscal year. Let's hope they're paying installments on him when they're in the Championship.

And that kind of dodgy ffp avoiding approach worked really well for our sheep bothering neighbours.

I really hope they crash and burn this season. I've developed a real dislike for them for some reason.

Well looks like a big turn around of players yet again. Fingers crossed we will move from survival to cementing our PL place. It is amazing the amount of players teams have to bring in to be able to make steps up the league let alone to survive. Seems gone are the days when players could be coached. They must come oven ready to take the next step and once the team takes the next step the next batch of oven ready players are getting lined up to take their place.

I feel like that's a bit unfair on our coaches tbh. Lodi, Mangala, Yates, Worrall, Danilo, Brennan, MGW, Taiwo all noticeably improved over the course of the season and saw their values rise. Sadly in Lodi's case not for our benefit.

I was kind of meaning in a general way across the PL league that because the need to say up and improve is so fast paced and unforgiving you don't have time to coach or develop players.

Ok I see your point to an extent but most clubs are looking at younger players. Even if they don't make it into their first teams they can usually sell them on for similar or increased price. You're right though, how is anyone going to develop at Chelsea for example?!

It does show the benefit for spending time at a lower prem club until you're ready to come in and be an instant starter.

Brighton signed Ansu Fati on loan from Barcelona. Will be very interesting to see how he does.
