Promotion's still well on, we're just chasers not frontrunners.
Had recruitment not been so poor we'd be frontrunners, as it is they've Jan to try and give us at least half a chance.
If we don't go up this year I'd like to see the current recruitment team demoted, and Stuart Pearce come in to oversee it, where they recomend to him, he uses his own team of scouts too, and he + Lamouchi get the final say.
The loan philosophy alone shows inept naivety beyond belief. Not 1 loan has been fit for purpose. Pearce understand this league & has many a contact. He's much more tuned in to what is needed to get us out this league.

We have got the same points now than we did after 20 games played last season, but then we only got another 2 points in the following 5 games. Last night was frustrating but let’s get behind the boys over the Christmas period and pray that we bring in signings as early as possible in January. No unknown rubbish, players that are championship ready and raring to go. Pay over the odds maybe but it’s the only way, and it just might be our season. You Reds.

If someone would have said to me at the start of the season that we would be in 5th place going into the Christmas period with a game in hand I would have bitten their hand off.

Seems we've got away with it so far (assuming top 2 is gone now). All clubs dropping points in the mideek fixtures.

Erm. I'm getting that sinking feeling that Forest might slip out the top 6.
Wednesday. A must win. Winning that game in hand would help too.
Forest seem....jaded. Some 'nearly' performances. And that 1st half vs the Mighty Millwall as bad as if not the worst all season.
Must do better to keep the top 6 place.
Signings. With urgency and hopefully they'll make an impact.
Forest seem a bit threadbare ('thin') in a few positions at the moment.

We are wobbling a bit but plenty of twists and turns to come yet.
Everyone will have a wobble at some stage. Preston had one, Swansea had one and now we are having one.

We were never going to go through the whole season without having a bad patch.
It's how we react to it what counts. Hopefully it's now over. We'll soon find out.

I just had a look at the table from last year and after 25 games Leeds were top of the league with 51 points and West Brom in third with 46. The three teams that went up Norwich, Sheff U and Aston Villa had 48, 44 and 37 points after 25 games. Forest had 36 points after a really bad Christmas period.
If we look at the table today we have Leeds at the top with 51 as have West Brom. I believe there is a good chance that at least one of them will bottle it again this year (none of them have shown great form lately). Forest are currently on 40 points with 1 game in hand. With a win over Reading we would be on 43 points which is more or less equal to the position that Sheff U were in last season after 25 games.
So, it is still very much all to play for this season. An auto spot is still possible if we can recruit the right players this window.

i agree the top 2 are still there just about.
The championship race for the playoff’s goes into the New Year as tight as it has ever been with the points gathered at the lowest it has been for the third placed side for over 10 seasons. In fact the haul of points for those teams currently sitting in the dreaded play off positions is so low you would have to go back to a few seasons to find a team in 6th spot with a low enough points total to allow Fulham who are currently in third to be in the playoff spots going into the new year.
If further proof of the tightest of this season was needed you can be in 17th spot and still be realistically in with a chance of finishing in the play off’s and it would not be considered that team that makes a late run from nowhere to steal the space as it is only 9 points just like the top 2 teams are from 3rd place.
