Hope we don't make the mistake of scoring first in the first half then we could avoid our manager and coaches ordering a retreat to the edge of our box to defend at half time. Sick of it. Makes promotion claims a sick joke, you can't pretend to be serious about going up with such negativity. I'm thinking that Dane Murphy won't accept it.

How can we be? We only have half a team and we can't compete financially with the parachute payment teams. I think we can be serious about finishing top half... :D

I wasn't saying that it had been stated. More I was suggesting that after all this time, year after year of hoping then struggling and failing again and then again that it should be stated. It should be a declared policy, an objective, a plan to be promoted. If not then be honest and say we're ok where we are and live with it. Right now it's a fudge, neither here nor there.

Ha if there's one problem we definitely do not have, it's that fans aren't demanding enough at Forest! 

This is exactly what's been wrong with us for years, we need to be willing to build long term teams like Brentford and Leeds did. Not just keep trying to gain promotion optimistically by just buying lots of players. I thought this is what everyone wanted

I think it would be helpful to know what the plan is I agree rather than just speculation. I guess maybe Dane needs a bit more time to establish this strategy before voicing it to the fans?

Ha if there's one problem we definitely do not have, it's that fans aren't demanding enough at Forest!
