If Nuno takes us down I will walk across Trent Bridge wearing nothing but a pair of Derby County undercrackers at the first home game back in the Championship.

Would almost be worth going down !!

Nuno had a dream, to build a football team,
With no hot water and bogs all full to the top,
With five at the back, Chris Wood in attack,
We’re Nottingham Forest, we’re on our way back!

None of us know for sure how it will go if we stick with Cooper or twist and try another manager. So equally if we stick with Cooper and get relegated shall those who think a change is sadly now needed come on and say told you so to you?  Not saying everything has been or is perfect with this ownership but if you feel you could do better then perhaps you should buy EM out and take over?

you're missing my point - I agree its time for a change. But I think we've all forgotten how chaotic it is under EM. I'm just saying, Cooper papered over a lot of cracks that I think will now reappear. For that i'll say I told you so

No I don't think we're missing your point. Everything thats going wrong is the owners fault and the whole place was a shower of shite before Cooper came in. Have you forgot how much shite Fatwaz left the place in when he left and you must realize it was never going to be a 5 minute fix for EM. Did Fatwaz put the kind of money in like the big man has to sort the club out and the answer is a big fat NO so you can't keep blaming the owner. I don't say this lightly but its the coaches job to get the players to do their job and unfortunately Cooper isn't doing that so the obvious thing to do is get rid of and get someone in who has different ideas. Simples ain't it  :Thumb:

Simples.

I’ll be back when we’re in the championship and ask you how simple it is.

No one can question the money he’s put in. But from what everyone says it’s absolute chaos. Just saying we’re back to the revolving door of managers now. Hope you’re ready for it

Why the notion that we will have a revolving door of managers? Do you not think Marinakis has shown patience with Cooper and to some extent Hughton and Lamouchi beforehand? I think it was around May 17 Marinakis bought the club and since then (excluding caretakers) we’ve had I think 6 managers;

Warburton - no plan b and fans wanted him gone
Karanka - fall out behind the scenes
MoN - fans hated his style and wanted gone
Lamouchi - started the revival and good times but sadly things never the same after the Stoke capitulation despite being given a chance
Hughton - many thought a good appointment but less said the better
Cooper

I don’t think given where we were, what we were trying to achieve and what results we were seeing that is too bad and for at least 4 of those managers fans were calling for a change.

Nottingham Forest are set to sack head coach Steve Cooper with Nuno Espirito Santo lined up to replace him, Telegraph Sport understands.

Forest have won only one game in their last 13 and produced arguably their worst performances under Cooper in the recent defeats by Everton and Fulham, and owner Evangelos Marinakis is taking drastic action.

Marinakis watched Forest’s home defeat by Tottenham from his base in Athens and is set to dismiss Cooper, possibly as early as Tuesday.

Former Wolves and Tottenham manager Nuno is set to replace Cooper as he returns to English football after a spell at Saudi club Al-Ittihad, having emerged as the leading candidate to take the job. The Portuguese coach is understood to be flying into the UK for talks.

The decision is likely to polarise opinion among Forest supporters, with many of those fans backing Cooper after he ended the club’s 23-year exile from the top division.

Yet several fans have also criticised Cooper this season and Marinakis has been growing increasingly frustrated after spending another £100 million on transfers over the summer.

Cooper was close to being dismissed in October last year, after a 4-0 defeat at Leicester City, but following talks it was decided to give him a new contract.

After being appointed in Sep 2021, Cooper inherited a team bottom of the Championship and then led them to promotion via the play-off final. He then led them to safety last season, earning widespread praise for building a team culture after so many new signings.

Yet results this season have been disappointing and, after their latest defeat, they are now only five points above Luton, who occupy 18th in the relegation zone.

Despite his imminent dismissal, Cooper is likely to be coveted by many clubs including Crystal Palace if they decide to part company with Roy Hodgson. Palace are admirers of Cooper, who turned 44 last Sunday and could now make a move as he will be available without compensation once sacked by Forest.

Forest return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home match against Bournemouth.

who even is our chief now?

If he is then he hasn't enough time for his methods to impact the game at the weekend.
