We've got a long and dismal history of disposing of skilful p!ayers ( Hinton, Cormack Mckenzie, Storey Moore, Hinton, Robertson, Woodcock, Francis, Birtles, Webb, Hodge, etc etc etc) rather than managing them with skill and understanding. Let's not carry on.

Agree Sniff. If Carvalho is half the player we all want him to be then he would've taken one of the many opportunities he was presented with last year and wrung the neck of a few games with his ability. He didn't. Compare him with Silva, who is very similar in stature and skill, who has knuckled under, worked hard, and eventually come to terms with the league and it's demands. He's now undroppable from the team.

Respect your opinions but for the time being I will maintain my faith in the lad. I remember fighting Silva's case on here when he was subjected to shouts of "waste of time" and "ship him out" over quite a long time. Now he has a love in and he deserves it.

My only rider to that is that if we have to sell - I would jettison Carvalho if that meant retaining Cash & Worrall.
