1 point for correct HT score.
1 Point for correct FT score.
3 points for both HT and FT correct score.

For now I'm going with this..........

1 point correct HT
2 points correct FT
3 points correct HT&FT
1 point for correct result i.e home win, away win, draw (whether 0-0, 1-1, 2-2 etc)

I have set the league table up now and hopefully there shouldnt be any further problems, apart from input error, which is all down to yours truly. It has taken quite a bit of time to set up, due to me not being the most IT knowledgeable person on the planet, but I am happy with how it now stands.

I have had a look at other prediction leagues and to be honest, they are far too simplistic. i.e 5 points correct FT score and 2 points for a correct result i.e home win etc.

The way I have set this up should, hopefully, give the players more interest as there should be a larger chance of getting points on the board. For example, it only takes one good prediction to get HT, FT scores correct to win 7 points. This can mean a player shooting up the table to near the top in one week, thus adding more of an incentive.

Joe Baker Legend and myself have been doing a fair bit of discussions in the background to see which option would be best and we are both happy with this. If we keep chopping and changing things around now, then players are going to start losing interest, which is the last thing we want. It is best to wait until there are no matches and review things then IMO.

This is just a trial for this season and if needs be, I will change things in the summer, in time for the new full season. However, if enough players want it changing now, then it is something I will look into before the summer.

Regarding the new season, I would be interested to know if we are just covering league matches, or cup matches as well. If cup matches are involved, we will have to take into consideration extra time, penalties etc, which will cause an entirely different set of issues to overcome.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for taking part in this and for your support, feedback and comments. I would also like to thank Joe Baker for his help, support and input in this so far.

It's just a bit of fun and appreciate your efforts. Now if it was a fiver to enter next season, winner takes all.... Joking. I am sure there are all sorts of reasons that could not happen, that's why we have bookies. This is just fun.
