I think it’s possible to be critical but see the bigger picture.
One concern is that he is not endearing himself to the fan base.

I am one of the fans that did not want MON and his sidekick and nothing I have seen so far has even remotely made me change my stance.
I still think his appointment has taken us back 10 years and his football is proving it. I find it incredibly hard to believe that the signed him and firmly believe that they had no other takers and were forced to. I also find it hard to believe that there are fans that still want him at the ‘club. I’m very angry about it and have not been to a match since his appointment and nor will I whilst he remains. So from that you can get my choice.....TWIST...godamn’ It....TWIST

I have voted stick although I am not very happy at the moment.
However, the thought of some unknown Portuguese manager taking over in the summer and signing a load of unknown players on loan from the continent fills me with dread.

For me it all depends on who would replace him. I was fully behind him but the performances have been dire. Even when Karankas team didn’t perform well the football was never as bad as it is now.
It is with a very heavy heart I go with twist IF we start next season with a quality manager who knows the championship.

Good poll, interesting debate. I voted stick although partly just because a new manager means starting again AGAIN. The stats related to teams getting promoted with new managers is pretty much none. I am still hopeful he can be successful.
That said, I don’t like that he seems to have not taken the criticism from fans well. I’ve felt since the beginning he’s stubbornly not picking carvalho based on the fans chanting for him. Not saying that that only reason but disappointing for me. Strange selections like Osborn at LB ahead of Robinson, Yates right wing, Murphy playing full stop are worrying. I still vote stick though, now season is over he should start Carvalho for the remaining games and see if he can find a way to use him otherwise he may as well sell him cut price. No point him being wasted as a sub every week

Plenty of games we were just as bad, Birmingham twice, Wigan, Preston/QPR at home, Millwall/reading away, Millwall home, Brentford away. I would say the difference is we’ve not managed to produce the highs in performance that we did under karanka. The wins under MON have been generally scrappy although we played well v Brentford and WBA I guess

I am not renewing to watch that next year, simple as that.
This feels like under Pearce where the players have no direction and it shows, I can't put up with S**t team selections and awful football anymore. No matter how much other positive stuff there is about the club right now, the on the field stuff is rapidly going down hill at a time when the club could really be riding the crest of a wave with the all support etc.
COYR!

Duncan ...put the option of on the fence still...cause that is how I feel at the moment...if I have chance tomorrow I will express my feelings...for sure something is wrong...or players not buying/understand whay MoN nd RK want them to do...or the later not in sinc with the squad....midfield has been a problem nd yesterday we started with yhe same midfield that just survived relegation last year...its not as if we finished last season on a winning run...point gap between us nd fourth from bottom is less then gap between us nd top three...nd top three r nothing special...

The poll result so far is exactly 50-50.

Twist.
Would love it to work out, but the football we’re attempting or not attempting to play is absolutely shocking. I’d wait til after the last game and let the big man take stock then.

I have gone for stick but does anyone else think that MON might quit at the end of the season or is it just me?

I want MON to stay & think he can take us up given the right players, but I've absolutely no faith in the owners or fans given him the backing to do so.
For that reason I'm gonna vote twist. I'd sooner us be put out of our misery sooner rather than later, and start a campaign like no other to get Billy back here. Letters to club already prepped :) |
