The break comes at a good time for us. Suppose we could say our season starts on January 20th at Brentford. A fit Taiwo with two or three new additions and the new manager having had time to work with his squad.

That's if he isn't waiting for a prosthetic leg replacement after AFCON.

I do agree though. We need to try and get by these next couple of games, offload 4/5 players and bring a couple of quality signings. We need stability not a load of Mendes commission signings. 

Newcastle away - probably a perfect game for them but we did show promise against Bourn. Anything please.

Newcastle have 10 players out today and the rest have looked shot yet I still can't see us getting anything from this game. It is time to accept that we can't play the fluid football style we wanted us to progress to and stick with 11 men behind a ball and hope to snatch something, not just this game but the rest of the season if we want to have a chance of staying in this league.

Despite their injuries, their home form is fantastic. We could play very well today and still lose. That’s the problem that Nuno faces can see him losing his first 3 games without playing badly necessarily.

Merry Christmas everyone!! Not sure why, but I feel like we can get something here. Newcastle players have been pushed to their absolute limits with injuries and a core of 9 or so players having to play every minute, three times a week.
