You are all adults so you should pay the adults price. You are old enough to drink, you are old enough to drive and you are old enough to go to war and fight for your country so why shouldn't you pay an adults price for your tickets?

I'm sure you remember this Sniff, as I'm sure many of us older generation will do, but back in the day, juvenile was from birth to 16, then adult up to 65, then OAP concessions. From age 16, you were out of school and into work (mostly anyway). I think students may have got a concession on production of their student card.
Just for a bit of perspective, I have just found this, which shows the prices of this seasons season ticket prices across the PL. We are second to lowest, behind Brentford by a mere £1!. I know this is for this season, but the list is for the highest price only and not including concessionary prices.

That's a fair point - particularly given that most of the moaning from Twitter seems to be from that age bracket.
I think most of the anger is because the club have totally scrapped the discount for ages 20-23 and stopped the 'youth' discount at 19. As you've said though - some people in that age range expect to be treated as adults in a number of different ways, but expect *not* to when it comes to paying for things!

I think I was paying either 15p or 25p to stand on the Trent End when I first started going to watch the Reds Joe. I didnt go pre-decimalisation though.

It has been obvious since the away members and membership debacle last summer that ST prices would go up-alot. I saved a specific amount per month in my ST saver to cover it. However what I didn't expect is my eldest, a full time Uni student, to go up by £500.
Struggles to pay rent works minimum wage zero hrs contract job and rarely does the stuff I did at Uni (She has got nights out down to £8.50 when she does go out).
I just wish the club were honest. Something g like:-
"We can sell each seat for £40 minimum to plastic tourists, or even 5 times that by booking a bit of snap over at Trent Bridge before game. We will of course launch a farcical membership scheme again. All this may bring in £2-3 million...about half of what we turned down from BOXT. We will of course pretend that we have consulted (really means meet with and then ignore supporter groups) before doing everything possible to stop people from renewing...especially the young, students and over 75s. Obviously if we drop into Championship and all the plastics vote with their feet we will be back to kids for a quid and football for a fiver before we know it. Enjoy suckers".
In all seriousness, I will be renewing-but not too sure about daughters.

Zico, it's arguable whether watching Premier league football is affordable any more for students. Its not just our club, its all through the league. Im not saying it's right btw, just saying that this is the modern football reality.

Went to renew today.....but just couldn't do it. I guess by May 5th it will be clearer what league we will be in. Not that it matters.
I f#(King hate so many things about the premier league. The excitement of going up, being talked about and 'relevant' again-at least in media, playing the big boys every week...the shine has worn off for me. Why?
Getting spanked away most games-often humiliating so, being dominated at home most games as every team has mostly better players than us. Every mistake being punished, whilst we can barely score a goal a game. Players being given contracts that could buy my house outright in about 4 and a half weeks ...then doing f@(k all. People who know f#(k all about football and never been interested, suddenly want to know if you can "get hold of any tickets" and "will Jonno be fit". People who should know better telling the manager what he should and shouldn't have done- with the benefit of hindsight obviously. A bi-weekly -always seems to be a Wednesday- stressful scramble for away tickets because we only attended 16 away games in the Championship. "Got to give everyone a fair chance" -WHERE THE F@(K WERE THOSE TW@TS WANTING A FAIR CHANCE LAST SEASON? More to the point where will they be next season if we go down? Loyalty points? We're in the prem now folks, f**k them off sharpish. VAR? Please tell me it won't be in Championship if we drop. And as for the tourist fans we come across at many established clubs, seriously? The atmosphere at all our away games except Newcastle has been Dog sh1t. Granted our home atmosphere has never been better but for how long? Even now disgruntlement drips through on social media. "We should be beating likes of Bournemouth/Fulham at home earlier in season".
Ultimately though the club knows, that in spite of all of this, we the loyal supporters are what truly matter, the heart and soul of any club...right?.......Wrong.....for some reason after being more together than I can remember for some time, this has very quickly disappeared as the club are desperate to get more seats available for match day sale (corporate) and as they can't make ground bigger for at least another year, they are looking at the "cheap seats". Over 75s, under 24s and the like. Maybe we should sell another 5k away memberships on top of current 5k or maybe have a tin level membership after bronze where you might get a ticket...unless we go down of course when the glory hunters and tourist disappear and we may have 5000 empty seats most weeks-again.
Why do we put ourselves through this to be treated like sh1t by the club we all love? ...there's the answer. That unrequited love.
So May 5th, when I've pulled together the unexpected and not budgeted for extra £500 I will - as always - fork out ready for another season along woth many of you.
Many would ask, who's the tw@t now? Me clearly and don't try and tell me it's my choice, you haven't been listening if that's what you say-or worse you don't know what a curse it is to be a loyal supporter.
