2 points from the first three of these games, two of which were away. Not too bad really and a clear improvement in defence. Lets hope the next two aren't too demoralising so we have a good chance in the last two.
How many points does Cooper need to keep his job do we reckon? 4 enough? 3? Got to think he needs to win at least one just to show we can win games at this level.
(Obviously, in an ideal world he keeps his job regardless)

Avoiding an absolute tonking in the next 2 games would help.
What do we think is acceptable? Conceding 4 or less in both games? Having a shot on target?

A draw on Saturday should be easy enough then I can see us sneaking a 1-0 away win at Arsenal

Some of these Liverpoo players will have one eye on the World Cup and wanting to avoid injury, especially given what’s happened to Jota and Kante

Villa (H)
Wolves (A)
Brighton (A)
Liverpool (H)
Arsenal (A)
Brentford (H)
Palace (H)
So looking at that list, Villa, Brentford, Palace and Wolves are all winnable.
It does feel like the next two games are pretty critical though otherwise there's a real danger of this 5 game losing streak becoming 10.
Still doesn't make great reading really, going to need to get a few results in games we wouldn't really expect anything.
I can't see anything more than 7 points from these games hope I am wrong though.
If you offered me 7 points from that run right now I would take it to be honest.
Would you still take it SM?
I wouldn't after today!

Well 5 points so far with 3 to go, 2 at home.
Still wouldn’t be unhappy with 2 more points which would mean taking points in 5 of the above games. Definitely if we turn up like today more than that is possible.
By the way apologies to Tugger for my sarcasm, he proved most of us wrong, still think it would be highly unlikely to get anything at Arsenal but now I think it is at least possible.

So if my maths is correct we got 9 points.
I think we can be very satisfied with that.

To continue the maths, were we to match that level of point scoring for the rest of the season we would pick up a further 26 points from the remaining 23 games finishing us with 39.
In most (but not all) seasons thats good enough to stay up.

Just realised its a bit better than that and that Wassy can’t count there are only 7 games in that list so 9 from 7.
The downside is that 8 of those 9 points were gained at home. We have to keep up the home form and start grinding out a few more away too.
