There is an irony here. We spent 23 years trying to get back so we could play in these type of games, but right now, I'd rather be playing Bournemouth. That said, there is no pressure on us tomorrow, whereas Saturday will be far more high pressured. We expect to lose tomorrow and man City will be expected to win comfortably - in those circumstances strange things occasionally happen.

I've begun that confidence with a little wager on Villa, Forest and Newcastle all winning on Wednesday night  for the price of a curry at 1600:1 I could not say no.

I understand the point of view but there's a massive difference between writing a game off and not beating ourselves up too much if we lose. 

I get it, just don't like being a compete wuss about it. Making it known they'll beat us generally makes it a self fulfilling prophecy. 

We have England, Brazil, Belgium International players these days.....

A knockout tournament that is therefore decided on the luck of the draw does make it more tricky to win but I get your point. If I was doing a power rankings for all teams, I'd still put them at the top. Fine margins in knockout games but if there was a European Super League (crazy idea... ) I'd back them to win the title.
