Clearly Forest need to add some goals, and no one doubts another striker needed. I was more impressed with Magennis than their wingers.
Coudn't disagree more mate. I think he's exactly what we need tbh. Pacey & a constant danger. 4 goals this season already, 9 goals 12 assists last year, and looked great the other night with him + Bowan being the stand out players for me (would take Bowan too).
Don't get me wrong, I'd sooner have Antonio, but the club would rather employ Modesto to get us attacking....ahem..... "threats"......haha.......like Mir & Ameobi rather than Pearce to get us the next Antonio or Britt.
Not saying sack Modesto, but definitely wouldn't be against Pearce lending him a hand in some capacity. Alex Mighten can catch pidgeons - he isn’t far off
trains with the 1st team and has been stand out in u23’s who are top of the league , whilst shining for England U18’s

There doesn't seem to be any real plan with our ins & outs full stop. It simply seems to be a case of get who we can.
Starting the season with both no pace & only 1 proven striker, 2 strikers full stop, showed incredible naivity. Even if we were to drop into a relegation battle this season (which we won't) I'd have the trigger figger pointed at Modesto, not Lamouchi.
I think we've done absolutely brilliantly to say how limited our creative options are. Ameobi's a 3rd choice, throw on when nothing is working, lower Champ player, yet we've had to use him as a first teamer as a mainstay.
He's started 9 games & played 794 minutes. Samba's only played 810. That's being WAY to reliant on a player who should be like Tyson or Tudgay was, a bonus player for certain circumstances.

Thought Grosicki and Bowen were superb. However, neither tracked back b4 sending off, so were able to use space when we lost the ball, which we did alot.
Cash didn't stay back with winger when we were in possession- neither should he, they gambled and it paid off. It happens.

Does Mighten have an end product?

Nice one, good to hear, look forward to seeing the lad play.
But, whilst fingers crossed he'll be a genuine option soon, relying on a kid without a first team league appearance yet to provide the main ingrediant we need to round us off is still a massive oversight on recruitment's part.

Mighten is at least twelve months off being involved regularly.

Just a thought but perhaps we should have hung on to Appiah for a bit longer?

Appiah looked a way off being ready too.

We do need a winger with pace that is direct, we are very one dimensional, we never get defenders turning and defending facing there own goal, we have no threat in behind, and if you are compact as a team forest are very easy to defend against at the minute.

Goals so far this season:
Tyler Walker 7

Jason Cummings 4
Hilal Soudani 4
Daryl Murphy 1
Rafa Mir 0
Admittedly in different leagues but just saying...

Don't think we can read too much into that SM.
Also how many appearances have they made compared to Mir?
None of them are the answer, I am sure it will get sorted in January.
