Cooper was identified, he was free, Marinakis flew him out to Greece to interview him and he offered him the job. What was lucky about it?
Spot on Sniff. I think Wilder was interviewed as well and a couple of overseas managers whos names I can't remember and Marinakis made the decision and chose Cooper.

Lots of teams offer coaches one year deals and change every season. Nothing wrong with it if it isn't working. Saves the club money. I'll cheer on who ever is manager, I want my team to succeed, and if cooper goes so be it.. gives the likes of montiel/origi/Nuno a chance to sign before the window opens. Coops is too loyal to players even when they have a bad game.. like Yates. He's back in the 11 now. He won't be dropped. Serge should be dropped. Aina on the left and montiel a fresh chance
Right back is going to get interesting, talk of Montiel going back to Seville in January, Aina and Serge off to AFCON which leaves us with Williams. Possible solution of playing back 3 with Williams as RWB, but with Boly and Niakhate going to AFCON, we will be short of CBs and Worrall will have to play but the talk is of him going out on loan in January.......... bit of a pickle.

To be fair I could say that you get in a tizz when someone questions Cooper.
People will always take sides to a certain extent but as long as it's backed up with good debate which most of the time it is then I fail to see a problem.
Everyone who visits this forum regularly knows that I am a big fan of EM but I won't back him blindly, he needs to earn my praise and I think so far he has done that.

I don't think anyone has debated more than me and you Sniff, but respect goes both ways as it should do, it never gets personal. Nothing wrong with differing views or opinions, football is subjective after all. You run this forum very well in my opinion.
