The Premier League 2025/26
Just watching Liverpool v Chelsea and Chelsea are just so bad there is no way spurs don't beat them when they face off.

Have they downed tools? (I’m not been watching). I wonder whether some players might think Champions Leeague or nowt. Would some players prefer to avoid the Conference League? In terms of their life they have the extra matches, can’t go out on Saturday evenings because every match is on a Sunday, and I doubt the limited prize money / bonuses in that comp makes much difference.

They have the FA Cup final next weekend so may yet end up in Europa.

I think if we're targetting Europe next year its in our best interest for Chelsea to be in Europe as otherwise they will have a free run at the league. We probably want Palace to qualify too and Villa to win and finish 5th so there are more teams in Europe.

I understand why people might not want that though! Maybe it can be the consolation for us if it happens.

True. No doubt Europe takes its toll. I think this season we missed a trick, but fundamentally we have a very strong squad that without Europe and with a decent coach I fully believe would have qualified for Europe. If we don’t need major surgery we should be targeting Europe next season while others have their European distractions.

When you look at teams below the top 5, aside from Chelsea, it feels like on paper our squad is as good as any of the others. Stable management, less matches and less injuries to key players and I'd fancy us to be competing with Brighton, Brentford etc. (As long as we stay up)

Easier said than done!
