We basically need to get by until 1st Jan with Wood, Origi and Elanga covering that position and then have a player targeted to come in at the start of Jan.
With Wood and Origi unlikely to be here beyond the summer, we are going to need to do some succession planning in Jan

Who'd of thought unnecessary pressure on the team to get results would be a bad thing aye?

Could we be looking for someone more expensive and proven than taiwo? Blow all the budget on them? 3-4 months, even 2 months is mid Jan is I guess till he’s back full training. He is either back and then goes to afcon or isn’t back at all till Feb/march.
How much would it cost do we think? 25-30 mil could we balance the pot with some sales in Jan?

I think we should be looking at multiple options ideally.

It's a shame Elanga and Origi are also covering another position too...

Next man up.
Wood and Origi and we crack on.
Genuine question to you.
Do you honestly think there is a side in the Premier League with a weaker looking forward options than Wood and Origi?
Sheff Utd, possibly. Think even Luton have better options right now.
Archer or Wood?

At the end of the day our manager wanted Chris Wood and our owner splashed out 15M to get him.
So lets hope that Wood can do the business and show us why Steve wanted him so much.

I may be reading you wrong but it often seems like you put a veiled threat in your posts.
Are you implying it is Cooper’s fault that Wood is our best option? You do realise Cooper wanted him as back up striker basically to come of the bench for the last 20 mins to hold the ball up? At least that was the intention.
As has been said Wood can never last more than 70mins if starting and he was never quick to begin with now getting on in years not great for a side that mainly plays on the counter.
Origi has the ability to be our first choice but not sure he has the right attitude to be honest.

You are reading me wrong SM, I just give my opinion that is all.
Also Taiwo very rarely lasts the 90 minutes so it's not just Wood.

Murillo and Danilo both start and CHO is back on the bench.
No Sangare in the squad though so presume *he's* injured now.

Sangare bad illness according to Cooper. Probably a tropical disease picked up on international duty.
