Similar tactics and some luck is the only way we get anything on Sunday. I am not sure Nuno has got the tactical flexibility to do that in a game but we will see.
Cooper masterclass? The game I watched could have been a cricket score but City’s players had an off day finishing wise. We were lucky to keep it at one nil but yes our goal was class as were the fans that game as usual

I agree... as great a result that it was, we were incredibly lucky. Haaland alone could have and should have had a hatrick
I'd take another one of those days. Its about time we had some luck

No chance of anything on Sunday
Oh I’d say there is the good chance that City get 3 penalties against us
Guaranteed and I`d go for a man being sent off for us, it`s already in the script.

Wood straight red 3 game ban. We finish the season with our survival hopes on Origi as lone striker.

Of course we had some luck. Even Real Madrid need some luck to get past Man City. However our tactics and the application of the players gave us a chance to get us a result which we did. Cooper set it up perfect. Some people now struggling to recognise that.

On another day City could have had 10.
We got very lucky.
If it was a boxing match it would have been stopped.

The set up worked against teams like Man City and Arsenal with a limited squad competing against the best in the land. The counter-argument (which I am not agreeing or disagreeing with) is that was the way we played against bottom half teams too. If we were going to progress and be an established PL side we needed to play on the front foot which wasn’t happening. The debate is if we wanted too much too quickly.
You have made the accusation on other posts that we no longer play the way we did vs Man City last season and that Nuno can’t do it. I disagree there, the home performance vs Liverpool this year was an exact replica and I would say done much better. It was a superb performance in which we created fewer but better chances and only didn’t get the result we deserved because of you know what.

Hate these type of games. We have absolutely no chance of getting anything. I ask myself, whats the point?
Didn't Allardyce once rest his Bolton players on a game like this as they had a winnable game the week after?

Poor finishing from city saw us stay in that game, let's be real. Haaland missed a fair few chances, de bruyne couldn't hit the target, it was not a tactical masterclass.

You are right but it wasn’t the only time we got a result in similar circumstances, Arsenal and Liverpool had a similar flavour to them, which surely shows that it was intentional rather than lucky (albeit I accept that you do have to ride your luck in those games given the gulf in class)

Seeing all the press around Gary f*****g Neville is making me realise how horrible this season has been for many reasons.
