Too many of us thinking beyond the next game, automatically adding 3 points to our total for the Southampton match. That game is going to be tough beyond belief. Im not entirely sure this Forest side has the minerals to go out and beat Southampton.

I agree with you Pap. I am taking nothing for granted against Southampton.

For me this Southampton match feels like it has massive parallels with the Blackburn match at home the season we just stayed in the Championship.
We lost that one but ultimately won the battle.

Woken up negative this morning. I think we're all aware of the importance and challenge of this game but regardless of the result we do have to play Chelsea. Even if we were to lose, we could still then go and beat them.
We have been pretty close in three consecutive away games against top half sides. All three games were competitive and against Brentford I'd go as far to say we were the better team, certainly second half.
We can definitely be competitive against a team in freefall.

Allardyce now confirmed this morning. Hopefully he'll add a second Premier League relegation to his CV (or if not it won't be at our expense).

Got 0-0 written all over it.
Sniff, we're absolutely dog shite away. Not going to happen.
Chelsea couldn't score in a brothel.
0-0 nailed on.
Southampton is the must win.
Thry couldn't score in a brothel and they have Lampard as manager. But they still beat Forest at home, we're that bad.
We drew 1-1 with Chesea at home & they are arguably shitter now. But, we're away so.....ya know.

Agree 100%. Each of those away games has been better than the last. We were one moment of "pu$$ying out" in the wall from a likely 3 points (only we could contrive to make it zero...) in our last away game.
That said, it has the feel of the build up to Leicester and West Ham games....I know what I will be putting in the AH predictions....
First and foremost have to find a way to beat Southampton.....that frightens me a tad.

I feel our fate will be sealed Monday evening, unfortunately I have lost my faith in this group of players to deliver when it really matters, that incudes SC. Can see the others around us gaining points and we lose to Southampton, not going to beat any of the 3 teams left to play in this seasons remaining fixtures and goal difference only compounds the issue.

I also feel very unsure about Monday. Southampton will likely be throwing everything at us - win and they definitely have a chance of staying up, lose and they're dead and buried!
However......I will go against others here, the one thing I think we do have since Coops took over is that we manage to win important games, somehow, and usually ugly! When the pressure is on, we tend to pull something out. When we're relatively comfortable, ie. when we were 13th in the league this season, or when we were basically in the playoffs last year but could have kicked on to nip 2nd, we somehow become shite. But, when we're 'dead and buried' with not much to lose, like after Leicester earlier this year or last season when Steve took over, we seem to have that intensity and play further up the pitch and grab the results we need.
I'm hoping Monday we show complete desperation and commitment to the game and leave absolutely nothing out there!

You think Everton will get points at Brighton, or Leeds at City or Leicester at Fulham maybe?
Or do you mean after this weekend. There's a pretty good chance we have a 3 point lead after this weekend if we can win. Then it's just 3 shots at that last win that would get us over the line.

Southampton - relegation all but confirmed so will play with no fear and pride for the last few games so will be dangerous to teams but needing 3 wins from 4 games is just a step to far.
Everton - will get points either at Wolves or at home against Bournemouth on the last day of the season. They do seem to have enough about them against teams who are going to be on the beach by then with nothing to play for. Think they will just survive.
Leeds - Looking really ropey right now but if Sam some how tightens up that defence then they have goals in them and enough to pick up a surprise win. But i think they are one of the teams to go down.
Leicester - I would say there best chance of getting points is this weekend against Fulham and last game of season against West Ham. Have a star player who can make things happen for them. Currently in the driving seat for survival due to goal difference so just need to match Leeds results which could be 0 points required.
West Ham - 4 clear but with both Leeds and Leicester to play on the last two days of the season are in the mix for sure but one point against either of those two teams is enough. However with European games midweek i don't feel they have a big enough squad to deal with the extra strain of more games. Should survive
Forest - More that capable of getting a win in their final 4 games however the goal difference has made them need an extra point over the rest. 4 points is a big ask from the remaining fixtures. Win and they are handed a big boost in survival but anything else and it will be relegation mostly likely on GD.

West Ham is an interesting one as next two games against the Manchester clubs followed by away at Brentford. Three losses and hopefully they still have something to play for on the last two games.
