I thought cooper did the right thing yesterday. Personally I would have used surridge instead of ayew but cooper knows better than I do.

Just watched the highlights. Those goals conceded are extremely ugly for the keeper sadly. Not taking away from the poor job the wall did in the first or the poor defending for the second but Navas should definitely have kept both out. Big shame.

The season isn't over but we've made it extremely difficult for ourselves again. Very much self inflicted, which is the most disappointing thing.

This clamour for Surridge is quite frankly baffling. 

At no point has he influenced the game this season barring his single goal. 

This is a guy that most were stating last season that he should be behind Keenan in the pecking order in the championship but should now be given ample time to find his feet when he’s showed zero promise of doing so, so far, when afforded the chance. 

Don’t take this as a go at Sam, I like him and was a big advocate of him last season, he reminds me a lot of Teddy at times but he needed another full season in the second tier before being even considered to be heavily involved any further. 

Ayew and Taiwo are quite simply better alternatives at present.

That is the second time we have had to finish a game with ten men recently.

Were all our substitutions absolutely necessary or were some just like for like which left us open to getting someone injured and having to finish with ten men.

I think the first two were, should you really hold back a sub on the off chance that someone gets injured in the last 5 mins?

It's the hope that gets you. 80th minute you're just begging them to hold on, for a quiet 10 minutes before the final whistle.

You try not to, but you can't help thinking about being on 33 points, the breathing space and perhaps just being another win from safety.

Then BANG and its gone, its all about thinking an away point vs Brentford isn't so bad. Would probably have taken that before the game.

Yes I think so.

Do they though? Brentford made all theirs by 77 for example.

I know people generally save one to waste time to protect a lead.

We were desperate to hang on, surely the priority should be the game rather than the off chance of an injury in the last 5 mins.
