Would You Trust Recruitment With Summer 2020?
Above is why I always laugh when people say they dont want to go up or we're not ready.

Doesn't matter, it's all about the hefty parachute payment which will allow us to compete financially for the next few years

That really beeps me off when people say that.

But Bournemouth and hell hole Burnley were?  Or administration Leicester?  Or Bottom worst record Derby?  Or Norwich?  (See Bottom in the Premier for details.)  Or Udinese B Watford.  Or Brighton.  (There were homeless not so long back.)  Or Southampton (gawd, they were so annoying when Keegan played for them...)  Or Wigan.  Ruby town Wigan.  Or Sheff U? Who were a whole division behind us.  Or...well, insert the name of any other unfashionable club (see WBA or Fulham) that over took the 'Legends of Europe' whilst we were navel gazing from our corner shop.

That god for the new owners.  They actually know what they are doing.

How refreshing.  How Heineken.

It's all about the 'SHOW ME THE MONEY!'

Forest have been over taken by quite unremarkable clubs who were just 'well run' or got their act together by putting together a more progressive football hierarchy whilst Forest could not get a decent plan or stick to a decent plan for 20 years.

Forest have conspired against themselves to keep themselves out of the Premier by being stuck in the past.

Only the Academy has been the Clubs guiding star and probably that...if anything saved them from bankruptcy.

When Doncaster and Brentford have new grounds and yours is rotting?

That tells its own story. A squandered legacy.

A decline. Arrested by owners that 'get it.'

Finally. Professionalism. Experts. Competency.

How many seasons do we give players? Different managers have an effect on the players they inherited and new ones coming in, carv last year was good goals and assists same with lolly, this year some people had hoped they had sold carv in Jan and at the start of the season some wish they got money for lolly

I think the recruitment team have so far done an ok job. Nothing spectacular but I see no reason to replace them at this point. There has been hits and misses. I think they deserve some more time.

Can't believe that some people think that Modesto and Anigo were responsible for the signings of Muric and Jenkinson. People should at least get their facts right before handing out unfair criticism.

Hang on, if they were responsible for the likes of Mir, Bong, Da costa, then they perhaps they could warrant some criticism

And so who was responsible for Jenkinson, he came in well after Sabri took charge - cant claim that was a Martin O'Neill signing surely?

Which ever way any one wants to slice it, the January window was poor and IMO a missed opportunity to strengthen the side.

Lets hope we can keep the first 11 fit.

Mir fair enough. Bong and Da Costa, they have barely kicked a ball for us yet.

Be fair. Don't write players off before we have had proper time to judge them.

Of course they are open to criticism, everyone at the Club is; the key is putting that criticism into perspective.

The signing of Mir is fair criticism; However, I have been told that his performances shocked Lamouchi given how good he looked in training - he would not be the first player we have signed who has done that.

In mitigation, Mir was signed on loan and has now gone so the damage was limited.

The people writing Jenkinson off after 4 games, Bong off after 58 minutes and Da Costa off after a massive 21 minutes are just plain stupid; there is no other way to describe them.

I seem to recall people slagging Grabban off after a few games because he did not hit the ground running; I would bet that not too many of his original detractors criticise him now.

The further you go back the more instances like that you will find; for every Roy Keane, who looked good from the minute he put Steve McMahon on his arse, there's a David Johnson, who could not hit a cow's arse for the best part of 2 seasons.

I wonder if the Bristol City supporters are writing Nakhi Wells off because they have lost two of the four games he has played since signing; probably not because they don't have the same childish sense of entitlement some of our supporters are blessed with.

Not being able to strengthen because players will not sign for us is not a failure

Not being able to strengthen because we cannot afford players is not a failure

Gambling with the Clubs future by spending money we do not have is a huge failure waiting to happen.

Correct, writing players off after a few minutes in a Forest shirt is ridiculous. At least give them a fair amount of time before passing judgement. I remember last season people were writing off Watson and even Worrall. How daft do they look now?
