I hope the new manager bounce becomes real and we see exciting football with associated victories and we all breath a sign of relief.
Granted he had some success with Porto and Oly but they are not the premier league.
He left OLY after 5 months after some disagreements?
Several other clubs have sacked him after "poor results" including Wolves which had the worst start to a season of any premier league team with 3 points out of 30.
I'm hopeful that the players knuckle down and play out of their skin for the remaining premier league fixtures and we achieve safety with games to spare but expecting them to adapt to the 4th change in playing style in a single season I think will be the clubs downfall.
Reality kicking in. It's so sad to see our club scrapping at the bottom of the league again for the 3rd season from 4.
25 % win ratio so far in all competitions. So frustrating, I can only imagine how the Big Guy is feeling.

EM has to carry the can Florida, his club and his mistakes. Ambition is great but by all means have a plan to acheive those goals, however this has been seen to be sadly lacking over the last few years. Big changes MUST begin now for when we drop into the EPL, we can then regroup and go again but in a much better shape then hanging on every season in the PL (last season was a blip and we had so much luck going our way in my opinion).

Not his fault the team performs poorly but yes its his responsibility. I believe he has changed managers in what he thought was in the best interest of the club in order to stave off what appears to be the drop. I don't believe he thinks that changing the manager has a detrimental effect but a positive one, but is being proved wrong. I would like to know what goes on in his head. One thing is certain, if he was to sell up then the club would go down the toilet.

You seem certain we're definitely getting relegated then even though there's 10 games left. Most people are panicking for some reason but I'll just wait until its mathematically certain. What exactly do you want EM to do besides listening to his advisors on who to recruit but funny enough I'm 100% certain he does that already so then in that way of thinking its his advisors that are balling things up. I would imagine the big man is far too busy to scout out managers and other people hence the reason to listening to his staff he has already.

Disagree with that, the manager decisions are on EM, its pretty clear Ange was. Im sorry if others think otherwise but I think a lot of the fallout with Nuno was on him too. Will give him the benefit of the doubt on Dyche.
Its well known EM has a final say on most transfers especially the big money ones.
Not saying everything is EMs fault but a lot of key decisions that have backfired are down to him unfortunately.

So do you think EM sits there in his office looking at what managers are available this week most likely not but yes the final decision is his but its on others who tell him that this man and that man can do the job for us then he makes the choice. If it was only down to him we'd have Silva here by now I'm sure on that.

Thanks foryour support Sal, yes EM will have to carry the can if we do go down it's his club. I think (like I mentioned of the forum before) he acts like a fan but unlike us can change matters on a whim and this season has been a disaster in that respect regardless on how it all pans out.

I don’t always agree with you JL but I tend to on this and you are correct about EM acting as a fan. Its not always a bad thing but he has an impulsive nature, sometimes it pays off, it got us to Europe after all but I have a feeling its going badly wrong this time.
The one that did for us was Ange, we’ve never recovered. Sniffer was correct too when he said the smart move would have been Rui Silva as interim, no coincidence that Wolves have improved since he went back there.

The Dyche out thread started after sixteen games in charge, do we wait another twelve before the Vitor one or go down with a whimper?

Was pretty 50-50 on sacking Dyche, that Wolves game was rough as were the ones before it although at lwast we were defensively solid. Was thinking last weekend shame we didn't wait till after Liverpool as Dyche had Slot's number in that one.
That said, it was tricky to see where a win was coming from. Dyche’s strategy of defend deep and hope to get lucky, I'm not sure was the best option.
Anyway, thought second half the change in formation definitely helped. We looked more solid and it allows us yo potentially rest the full backs too for future games. We'll surely see if vs City but then after I think its worth sticking with. Worked for VP last season and its clearly helped Leeds too and Palace.
