Samba -6:  Did not have anything to do, so cannot give more than a 6
Christie -7: Looks like a very good right back.  Better than cash aerially, as he is taller.
Figgs -7: More like the Figs of old, winning lots of challenges.
McKenna -8: When he settles in fully, he is going to be the solid rock of our defence.
Iaonnu -7: Definitely the best left back the club currently has.
Yates: 8 - Workhorse performance.
Colback- 6: Slow.  Been very slow all season.  He needs to up his fitness and awareness and speed.
Lolley - 6: Goal aside, still not looking up to speed. Will be my one to be dropped for Knock Knock.
Ameobi- 7:  Decent performance - lots of helping cover at the back. Would keep him fresh for Friday and play Mighten against Rotherham.
Freeman: 8: Good game. Like Carv you can see his thinking is a few steps ahead of others, however, he has the fight and drive Carv lacked.
Grabbs: 6: He should not be captain.

Taylor 7: looked lively and took people on. Strong.
Arter: 7: Got drive, with him, Cafu, Yates, Colback, Sow and more all wanting that position - we have lots of strength in the middle. 


Overall, if you take that this season is going to be game after game after game with lots of knocks and injuries - we are well suited with a lot of strong players.  I believe we will be top 6 by Christmas, maybe top 2.

, Colback was good, we shut down a team.that had scored 9 in their previous two games and Colback was a big part of that. Blackburn were able to get forward more second half after he went off.

Otherwise broadly agree, I like the look of Ioannou so far and Freeman will be our key attacking player

I'm not a Colback fan boy, don't think I would have brought him back, but I thought he played very well against Blackburn. He was not only working defensively but looking for the ball when we were in possession.

Yep I thought Colback was more like his old self on Saturday, zipping around getting tackles in and generally being busy in midfield. It's probably down to him getting his match sharpness back as much as the new manager.

Yeah agreed, the injury plus the year not playing was always going to be a slow start. Both managers have started him despite this though.
