Braga - Nottingham Forest

I think it was.

Mittylland came to play and put on a performance.

Braga showed little interest in playing or even winning, they treated it like a pre season friendly but still won.

That shows how bad we were.

Therefore was literally nothing.
No energy, no creativity, no ideas.
The team set up was at the front of that.
Can’t imagine EM can accept a lot more of this ?

This time it looks like a whimper and we may never get another chance in my lifetime.

Mainly because we spent the Collymore money on dross like Silenzi. Hey there's a pattern!

If MGW could take penalties, it’s almost certain we would be in 5th place on 16 points and almost certain to go through automatically. And we’d be there having used our second string. Fine margins.

I thought the game was dire today but we controlled it until the minute of madness.
Uninspiring but was doing a job.

Then MGW missed. Yet again….
How many times have we pleaded never again?
Surely now we have to pull him and give CHO the job. Or Lucca.

This isn’t on Dyche. At least not entirely.

I'm with you DR I think both sides would have taken a draw and it was setup like that hence a drab first half from both sides. It's not exciting enough for some, it comes with an new found arrogance that we should have blown Braga away despite them showing no ambition and us being terrible against low block for many seasons now.

We win that game, everyone shrugs and says job done.

So, how is it a complete meltdown now?

Because we lost and it's the manor in which we lost and it is not just about last night.

The meltdown is fully justified.

:Thumbs up: Spot on.

Frank Clark was better than Dyche though

Oh absolutely. Ultimately if perhaps he'd had a recruitment team he may have survived longer!

Say it quietly though, the football was pretty similar to Nuno etc being stoic and relying on either brilliance up top or when Stan left, grinding out 1-0s. Especially in Europe!

It is an interesting comparison though in terms of the fact we played 1st team week in week out and had zero striker (despite McGregor heroics at times)

Just seen a reminder that Thursday’s pathetic effort as well as consigning us to 2 extra games we didn’t need has cost us €2.2m that we could have picked up for a win. EM must be absolutely seething.

I hope he is seething. If nothing changes between now and the end of the season - results/performances/personnel, whatever it is, we’re down.

Thursday was a disgrace.

No it’s not.
I’ve listed the plethora of reasons why previously.

If you want to blame anyone then the buck stops with EM.
Whether he fell out with Nuno or his appointee did; it’s on him.

Caveat: this is a statement I can make with hindsight. I never blame EM for his endeavours.
But we all make mistakes.
