Controversial Poll MON Stick Or Twist?
i know its been bad but i dont want another manager. it will only be the same for the next manager. give him a window he deserves that atleast. he said he needs to change the mentality at the club. i dont think its a happy dressing room. many of these will go.

It all depends on the mentality he wants to teach them

i dont blame MON for all this. we didnt recruit properly at all. other people should be held accountable also. karanka recruited the 3 portuguese and soudani to strengthen us upfront..it failed. cash and appiah on the flanks now which isnt good enough. murphy still heavily involved. we need a big overhaul. proper recruitment strategy. proven players in this league.

People keep saying we’ll sell this player and these players will leave. I doubt that we’ve shown how difficult it is to sell players that we don’t want. We’re still stuck with a fair few of them. Unless someone takes a punt I doubt we’ll get much for carvalho now, only really lolley with any value.

I think the manager should work with what we’ve got with a few additions if he can’t find someone that can.

^^this.

I once wrote an article about Billy Davies and whether he actually had the ability to manage players. Look at someone like Dean Smith and the work he did at Walsall then Brentford, he came in and worked with what he’d got.

Look at the turnaround at Sheffield Wednesday under Bruce. They had the worst defence in the league before he arrived.

you know what i like MON, i like his honesty and his interviews and i have been firmly on the stick side but......

our squad arent world beaters but they are no worse than most teams in this league. sheff wed are no better, neither derby, preston etc etc. its a bang average league. so to say he couldnt get more out of these players is wrong. we cant keep chopping players for every manager. they need to come in and perhaps add a couple of players but essentially need to bring the best out of what we have. those players and this manager should be capable of going to ipswich and rotherham and winning.

my main concern about mon is i have no idea what his style of play is. to be fair last night was about the most balance team i have seen under him. certainly in the midfield. to replace appiah with pele? to not bring on carvahlo?

i dont know. i think he needs to do something with the remaining games to convince the fans and the board he is the right man. im not talking about winning all of them. i am talking about putting his stamp and identity on the team so we can see where he is going. only then would i trust him to be here in the summer.

Can we make it a poll where we can change our votes. I’m starting to think that fence looks tempting...

I also think this is a strong possibility but not now, at the end of the season.

Perhaps MON can move upstairs somewhere?
