I think we need to be realistic about what kind of striker we're going to get in (presuming we get one). Grabban is very much first choice, and Karanka has been talking up Murphy which suggests that he'll still have a major part to play this season. That makes me think there's no way we'll get someone like Abraham, because Chelsea will want him to go somewhere and play regularly (not to mention the cost involved).

We might not like it, but I think a Gestede or Olivieira is a far more likely signing.

I personally think Oliviera is a perfect choice:

1) Knows the club,
2) Was reasonably successful here (in a team set up to not concede),
3) Has a certain amount of quality about him, and definitely goals in him
4) Is available probably at a cut price as Norwich will be desperate to get rid and his stock is low at the moment
5) Might come for a reasonable wage as he needs to leave there to get his career going again
6) Will be desperate to get a move
7) Would have an affinity to the other Portuguese here
8) Is an experienced Champ player now

I think they’d be happy with that return maybe 15. When you’re buying a 19 yr old you don’t just judge them on one season. As long as his value increases I think they’ll be happy

So 15 goals or more is a success for this season?
