Sab built a team on the following solid defence:
Cash - sold
Daws - past it
Worrall - injured
Ribero - victim of off having the wring agent
Watson - released
Sow - never recovered from injury properly
This new squad doesn't have the same strength defensively IMO (e.g. Christie is a good attacking FB, but frail defensively, Soh & McKenna don't have Daws experience or ability to pass, Colback is a good player, but can't "Pirlo" like Watson)
I won't grumble if Sab gets more time, but our strength now lies in having several players - Freeman, Grabban, Taylor & Grosicki - who are proven goalscorers at this level.
That is where the focus should lie, and if Sab doesn't make that his focus, he's the wrong man for this squad.
Yep pretty much agree with that. He needs to adjust the approach to take advantage of the players he has now. If he doesn't and gets sacked then it's only him who is to blame.
