But He is a good championship goalscorer who regularly gets 20 goals a season. If he only needed one chance to score he would be playing in a Premier league team. The fact he gets in the right positions is the thing that gets him so many goals.
For me the loss of form is both concerning but understandable. Obviously we want our best goalscorer scoring. But at the same time we need others to be chipping in so as to take the pressure of him.
Let's face it, when Grabban doesn't score, who does. Lolley chips in with 9 or 10 a season but after that? Ameobi sometimes. The defenders - the odd one or two. But from central midfield - barely anything. And that is partly down to selection - favouring hard working defensive midfielders over creative or box to box types and by playing negative tactics where we just are not getting enough bodies forward. I'm hoping Freeman will help with this once he is up to full match fitness.
Ultimately We need goals from all over the pitch. This may help Grabban rediscover his composure and relax.
No he doesn't. He has managed it 3 times in about 15 seasons.
